Unless they opt to dump Davis I suspect it is Evans and Davis competing for #2 with Davis staying as the short yardage guy win or lose the #2 battle.
Perhaps you are right, but would that not mean dressing 3 QB's???

Re: Argofans offline?

In a bit of a surprising move Mcleod Bethel-Thompson signed in the USFL for family and football reasons in a lengthy letter to CFL fans: Now on to 2023. What is the hardest part of playing football? The time you sacrifice with loved ones. My amazing partner Chinaka, daughter Aziza, and my whole fam...

Re: Superbowl

Realize the intent was to use as much time as possible. Would have been interesting and alot of second guessing if they miss the field goal. Lots of ways it could go wrong. If the Chiefs score and kick a PAT (the most likely scenario), there would be enough time for the Eagles to go down the field ...

Re: Bryan Burnham retires

It has been a real pleasure to watch Bryan make those remarkable and exceptional catches look like "expected" catches. As said by others, he exemplifies what being a 'team guy" really means.

Best wishes in your new life chapter.

Re: 2022-23 NFL/Seahawks Season Thread

I hope the change of scenery will be good for Claypool and think it will be. In Chicago, he will have a QB throwing to him that has a few years of experience and a real good arm. In Pittsburgh, he had neither.

Re: WSF Calgary vs BC Nov 6

Club is going to need the "dome field advantage" (a loud, boisterous crowd) that's going to make it difficult for Maier and the offense to hear the snap count. Remember, several Stampeders boldly told Farhan several weeks ago they would prefer to play in B.C. Place, maybe not realizing Va...

Re: 2022 CFL Week 19

What a terrific ending to a game that was handed to the Stamps when Lemon recovered a fumble and the Stamps pushed it in for a TD. But TiCats came back with some big catches by White with 11 seconds left. I had pretty well thought the Stamps would take the win..... sure am glad I stuck with the game...

Re: 2022 CFL Week 18

I think the only HC at risk is Craig Dickinson. Montreal will be hiring; Ottawa will be hiring; Toronto will give Dinwoodie another year, especially if they get to the Grey Cup; Hamilton already has Jones on staff if they make a change (doubtful). Other than Riders, I don't see changes in HC in the ...

Re: Lions at Argos Oct. 8, 2022

The sudden change in defensive play-calling at the end of the game was the biggest reason for the loss. A week after being repeatedly called out for sticking with a “bend-but-don’t-break” top-down zone scheme, Ryan Phillips blitzed on all 3 plays on the Argos’ 70-yard drive for the game-winning tou...

Re: Lions vs. Stamps Sept. 24, 2022

After some pondering, I'm kinda glad I was at the game last night.... bear with me a bit on this, but there I was sitting in somewhat stunned silence as the game progressed. Yes, it was bad, but being there without the "benefit' of play by play announcers and/or the TSN replays and analysis I w...

Re: Lions vs. Stamps Sept. 24, 2022

Obviously the Stampeder coaching staff reviewed the film from the last game and made adjustments starting with an onside kick on the opening kickoff. Lions didn't. I said to my friend when the Lions hadn't lined up properly that I could see them pulling an onside kick here - and they did. Not only ...

Re: Lions at Calgary Sept. 17, 2022

Whooo Hooo!! What a great way to start a back to back series. Sets up next game to be a really tense affair! I'm pleased that VA settled down and put together some passes that are not floaters. The pass blocking held long enough to fire the ball downfield for 10-15 years passes..... It's a good star...

Re: Lions at Calgary Sept. 17, 2022

3 minutes to game time and no pre-game comments here...... is anyone watching???....... does anyone care???

For the first time this year, I've picked BC to lose..... so far this week, my picks are 0-2..... I can only hope to go 0-3.
