Re: 2022 CFL Week Seven
The Toronto at Saskatchewan game has been rescheduled to Sunday due to a COVID outbreak on the Riders. https://www.tsn.ca/1.1827842 I can't see how moving the game by 1 day will have any positive (no pun intended) effect on the Rider's chances. As of today they had 6 players officially out because ...

Re: Garrett Marino
Rider's statement says that Marino's actions don't represent the organization. Um, yes they do as long as he wears your jersey. Especially when your statement comes out a day AFTER your HC said that the team was standing behind Marino and giving him another chance. The Riders look terrible here, esp...

Re: This how serious the Lions are about building back their attendance
What's brilliant about this promotion is that season ticket holders really become part of the marketing team. Who better to turn others on to Lions football than a loyal fan who is already invested in seasons tickets? In the social media world we live in, personal endorsements have become far more p...

Re: Changes in Montreal
The way Edmonton's QBs have played I wouldn't be surprised if Vernon Adams is playing for a new Coach Jones by next week. I hope not. Chris Jones will destroy Adams.Coast Mountain Lion wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 9:23 pmThe way Edmonton is going tonight, maybe they should change Joneses

Re: Key to the fast start...
I'd add OC Jordan Maksymic to the list of most improved. Maybe he was this good all along and was just hampered by trying to call a game for a battered Mike Reilly, but it certainly looks like he is calling the purrfect game for Rourke's abilities so far this season.

Re: Changes in Montreal
I've expected this since the day Macoicia was hired as GM. Now he can show the league once again what a terrible HC he is.
Hasn't Montreal already had enough of GMs who think they can coach? The more things change...

Re: Lions at Redblacks June 30, 2022
Watching the post game interviews with Rourke on the LIons website he wasn't his usual "golly gee, aw shucks, big smiling" Rourke. He almost seemed annoyed. The kid has a bit of fire in his belly. I'd love to see what a pissed off Rourke could do to an opponent.

A little adversity for Rourke this week might pay dividends against the Bombers. The Lions have some film to learn from for the first time this season.

Re: Lions vs. Argos June 25, 2022
With less than 3 minutes left and a 31 point lead, the Lions went on a mission to get Mackie his first TD. Normally in this situation (especially 3rd and goal with 1:30 left) it would be poor sportsmanship to run up the score. But Mackie had earned that opportunity and the O-line was going to do eve...

Re: Lions vs. Argos June 25, 2022
Lions looked great the last two games but they were playing weak opponents. Test will be how well they do against Calgary and Winnipeg. Winnipeg for sure. Calgary may be 3-0, but they haven't looked very good so far. Unfortunately by the time we finally play Calgary in mid August I expect Maier wil...

Re: Lions vs. Argos June 25, 2022
Montreal did us a favour on Thursday, now BC needs to pay them back by beating the Argos. This should be a much better litmus test for Rourke and the entire team than the blowout of a very bad Edmonton team two weeks ago. I'm not expecting a big crowd tonight, but a win tonight plus a road win again...

The only thing I am enjoying more than watching the Lions put up 35 in the first half is all the cut away shots of Chris Jones!

Re: 2022 Free Agents - BC Targets - Top 5
What is the CFL record for getting cut by the same coach on different teams? It's going to be at least twice before 2022 is over!
