Re: Radio Interview DC Bieneveides

Williams did play at DT for the Als and was very good IMO - a smallish, finesse type DT; assuming he can just easily make the switch to be a good DE is a bit of a stretch IMO, but maybe he has the quickness and pass rush moves? Hard to believe Brent Johnson has been written off as a possible starte...

Re: Training Camp Jun 6, Rookie Camp Jun 2, Bart Archdekin Added

Training Camp questions ... Do the Lions feel secure that they have the feature import running back (from Jamal Robertson and Mickey Dean) that they need? "I have a feeling that BC will be looking to RB by committee in 2010. I'm not convinced they will employ a "feature RB". Is Casey...

Re: Wholesale Changes in O Line for the Leos - Lowell Ullrich

Show me a CFL HC who doesn't practice pencilling in and I'll show you a team that is ill prepared to start their training camp. The reality is the pencilling in process for all clubs starts just as soon as the season is over. PI Wally as OV likes to call him has company with PI Richie, PI John, PI K...

Re: Quebec Major Football League Draft

I doubt CFL players COULD play in another league if their was a work stoppage. They are still under contract. I don't expect a stoppage in any case, just saying. All depends on the reason for the stoppage. There shouldn't be anything holding them back in a lockout. Lots of NHL players (200 rings a ...

Re: Wholesale Changes in O Line for the Leos - Lowell Ullrich

Angus Reid has lost Buono and Dorazio. Buono was saying he was not 100% on Pratt's show the other day. They wanted to bring him back slowly. That is usually double talk for we are easing him out. I think it would be prudent for Buono to be cautious with Reid's recovery. He's only 8 months into what...

Re: Wholesale Changes in O Line for the Leos - Lowell Ullrich

Did anybody see the GlobalTV report on Angus last night? He looks to be in excellent shape, perhaps in better shape than he's ever been in entering camp. Given he's come off the first serious injury of his career he's probably never worked so hard in an offseason. He obviously isn't about to give up...

Re: Training Camp June 6, Rookie Camp June 2

Ya never know who will stick out at camp, as Emmanuel Arceneaux did last year. Hopefully somebody will 'cause I have a feeling Arceneaux is only here for a good time, not a long time. As good as he was last year at 21 one should assume he'll only get better and we all know where that will eventuall...

Re: Training Camp June 6, Rookie Camp June 2

Actually, I'll turn that around.......I'd like to know why he was included on the Lions' roster if he wasn't signed to a contract?.......he was on the TC roster in 2009, but was released. No idea Lloyd. I was just speculating. I didn't even know he had been on the roster leading up to the mention i...

Re: Training Camp June 6, Rookie Camp June 2

.......so why release the guy now? Did he ever sign with the Lions? Perhaps he was simply a non-counter holdover from last year who has advised that he isn't pursuing a pro career. Can't release somebody you never had under contract in the first place. I don't know if they'd have to keep him listed...

Re: canadian running game anyone...

IDanged 22 hour round trip drive will make it difficult to fit in on a weekend this year. If I felt like wasting fuel I could go spy on the Evil Empire. They're much closer. There are no scheduled weekend practices in Kamloops anyway due to two Sunday preseason games so that will likely keep...

Q&A with Shawn Gore

I just stumbled across this article from last week in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal. According to Gore's own assessment his ability to play special teams will be key. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/93418149.html Q&A with Packers wide receiver Shawn Gore Posted: May 11, 2010 |(0) Comment...

Re: LB Cory Greenwood to sign with KC, Buono made right call?

madani09 #Argos 1st rd draft pick Cory Greenwood (3rd overall) has been offered a contract by NFL's KC Chiefs. Worked out today. He'll sign deal tmrw Wow, I'd thought Greenwood would have played for the Argos this year at least, but it appears he is headed South. HC Buono apparently made the right ...

Re: canadian running game anyone...

As far as Lee being converted to slotback, the Lions are projected to start 3 American receivers plus P. Jackson. I doubt Lee would be as polished of receiver for the 5th spot as O. Wilson this season, although Jamal probably has better wheels. While there was some mention of that last year it seem...
