No, the 1991 Grey Cup game was held in Winnipeg. But that picture appears to have been taken inside the Skydome. So the event may have been a post-Grey Cup celebration inside the Skydome.

Bruce Mcnall must have been one of the best and worst owners in cfl history. I was reading the back of a Rocket Ismail trading card and it said that Mcnall sign the rocket to a 4 year 24.6 million dollar contract in 1991!!! Is that off the frickin charts or what? While it certainly did generate som...

If I wasn't canadian i think i would kill myself, that or someone else. Remember that year we had Andre Ware? Man that season sucked..3-15....... That was the 1996 season under the ownership of Nelson Skalbania. The Lions were actually 5-13 that year, which isn't good by any means but at least they...

Just as a correction on your post .. Jimmy Pattison wanted to buy BC Place as a condition of sale of the Lions as well. That is why his deal fell through .. The Provincial government of the day didn't want to sell the Stadium to him, and the Lions and the League probably missed out on one of the gr...

Best BC Lions Owner?

In the past, there have been several polls and discussions on who was the best BC Lions player or coach. However, I don?t recall any kind of poll or discussion about who was the best BC Lions owner, so let?s do that now. Ever since the BC Lions left community ownership in 1989, there have been four ...

The ultimate test - historical BC Lions Cheerleaders pics?

Now that I've made all those postings about the Seattle Sea Gals, I will revert back to the BC Lions now. Does anybody out there have any pictures of past BC Lions cheerleader squads? Cheer team, dance team, whatever. Those historical pictures would be a good addition to this web page. But I really ...

Historical Sea Gals Pictures

What I really like about the Seattle Seahawks web page is that there is a section entirely devoted to the history of their cheerleaders: http://www.seahawks.com/SGHistory/default.aspx?SecID=75 You will see cheerleader squad pictures for each year starting from 1976. It was in 1981 that they adopted ...

the Seahawks lame attempt to copy our Felions, albeit with poor uniforms (And results) I will have to disagree with your point about the uniforms. Personally, I think the uniforms for the Sea Gals are much better looking. They have two sets of uniforms. And they are one of very few cheer teams left...

I only said that I started following the Lions starting in 1983. That's when I was old enough to understand the game of football.
