Parking at the game

As someone who normally takes transit to the game, how is parking at Empire? A Saturday afternoon game was the one we decided to bring the kids and some of their friends to, to do a little TGing and such. Is lot 9 full of season ticket holders with parking passes is the question I am asking in a rou...

33,030.6 there may be a few in utero so we need a decimal for those who are sticklers about attendance.

Re: Attendance for Saturday

Lions should have partnered with a candy/chocolate manufacturer(s) for this game. Give out vouchers to the first 5,000 kids so when they leave the stadium, they receive a Halloween "grab bag" in a large plastic pumpkin (the shape of the Lions orange helmet with the paw logo on each side)....

Re: More details on the move to Empire

The move to Empire has some good things, hopefully with more parking there can actually be some tailgating now. At the same time, it really forces a lot more people to have to drive to the game, its a lot longer walk to the nearest skytrain station. For now I am a maybe for renewing. For the summer ...

Re: CFL Blackouts poll on TEAM 1040

The Ti-Cats also have been televising local games for years. They believe their fan support would drop even further if fans couldn't watch home games for free. The theory being is that these "fans" will see all the excitement they are missing and will choose to buy tickets for the next ga...

Re: Standing section at B.C. Place?

If you are going to stand the whole game, I would be upset, my kids would be more upset, when everyone stands they can't see a thing. At key times standing and cheering is what you are supposed to do at a football game. More people need to get into the spirit of things between plays stand up and do ...

Re: tainted win

the play on Friday night in B.C. in which Lions’ player, James Yurichuk, kicked a loose ball forward – what’s known as dribbling – and teammate O’Neil Wilson picked it up for a touchdown was actually an illegal play. http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/cfl/blogs/2009/08/11/lefko_mistake/ the CFL needs...

Re: 2009 Vancouver Whitecaps Season Thread

Congrats to the Whitecaps on a big win last night and further proof how narrow the gap is between the USL and the MLS. Barring Toronto FC coming up with a 4-0 road win in Montreal (still think it should be total aggregate in head-to-head games only as the tiebreaker), the Caps will represent Canada...

Re: Roof will be cancelled by NDP if they win election

BC Place needs a new roof, anyone thinks that replacing the roof a cheaper way would mean that the extra money saved would immediately go to help the homeless or other social programs is sadly mistaken. The money would end up in general revenue and nothing specific would ever come of it. Typical NDP...

1. is interesting and has possibilities.

2. I dont really like

3. I will have to think about it.

4. I would be ahppy with 10 yards and they lose a challenge. You threw the flag you lose the flag.

5. This needs to be done.

6. I dont really like this one either.

I am sure I could probably get used to it but I like to see who is posting on the left.

I do like how the main pages look.

Re: Lions fans at Commonwelth October 17th.

One day I will have to make the trek out to Montreal, I have heard many good things about watching a game there. * Good sight lines despite the track. * Wonderful atmosphere in such a tightly packed space. Crowd really gets into it and has a great time. * Strong game ops - music is much better than...

Re: 1040 bumps Lions to 14 CFUN; Canucks taking over 1040

I know some of the guys have planes to catch, but would they not have been better off holding an evening rally at either the Colliseum or GM Place? Afterall, they draw a similar number to their annual end-of-year locker room sale! It was likely that thousands of folks would liked to have saluted th...
