More lousy field position...with Calgary on fire now.
We will be fine. We are not out of the game despite Calg on fire and the Lions not yet firing.

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
I'm not upset about Murph starting. He's the two-time Offensive Lineman of the year, he deserves to be in there. What I'm concerned about is our defence. Can we get one friggin' stop? PLEASE? Burris is playing at the top of his game!!!! D needs to get some rhythm to its play. Don't forget new DC wi...

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
got to stop their running game Burris is looking as focused as I have ever seen this guy! I guess it helps to have DD waiting to take over and Hufnagel making it clear that he expects improvement from Burris this year. BC def needs to get untracked and will. It will take time to the new DC up to sp...

Different philosophy with a new DC.Belize City Lion wrote:all this talk about Calgary having a weak O-line, yet we drop 9 guys and don't pressure Burris?
Calg looking a bit in disarray at the end of the Q.
Great field position.

Re: Petition in support of Bill S-238 (Larry Campbell CFL bill)
Well all this competition in football is fine and good but Mr. Rogers (if the Competition Review report gets implemented- they just reported out today) will get 5 more years without any added competition from outside Canada. That is how he has his billion dollars in the bank he can use to wipe out t...

Re: Petition in support of Bill S-238 (Larry Campbell CFL bill)
What Dieter is asking is if the petition can be more prominently displayed. He is not trying to stifle opposing opinion. I dont know how it can be done on your site but he is basically wondering if the petition can be separate from the discussion somehow.

Re: who has skype?
Ok - I have one other option and that is a VPN account in order to watch games however, does anyone have skype? Just considering this out of box idea. Someone puts their video cam in front of their tv and we skype and I watch it that way. just thinking - not sure if I want to do that - but asking a...

Re: Get your game-day information at bclions.com!
With all due respect, if I want the updates on the Lions I come to Lionbackers until such time the Lions can demonstrate they can keep their website up to date. I think this is an effort to do exactly that. I also think that is rather classy to come on here at let us know that this info is availabl...

Re: Well Jarious or Buck
We will have to watch this Sekeres guy. He is Ted Roger's attack dog. First he was in Ottawa to skewer to Renegades with a ongoing series of negative and cutting articles, dragging the CFL through the mud. Mission accomplished there. Now he's been sent to BC to undermine the Lions for Rogers Globe ...

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20080624.LIONS24/TPStory/Sports Matthew Sekeres writes about the Lion QB situation in the Globe and Mail. Some excerpts as it is not okay to do more than that: FOOTBALL: CFL: ANALYSIS Pierce in the driver's seat But Jackson - and yet another QB contro...

Re: Rogers Officially done with CFL...
I think its time the Government lift its protectionism of Rogers and its ilk. See if it can complete in an open market!!! That is exactly my sentiments! I have a Hong Kong phone number in my house in Coquitlam for $12 a month meaning I can receive and make Hong Kong calls as if I was in HK. ...

Re: Well Jarious or Buck
........................ GO Lions (and Germany go). We have two fine QBs with what looks like a real nice up and comer in Zac Champion -another guy with a Buck Pierce type name. Is Buck more accessible than Jarius Jackson? If so, is it because of him being slotted ahead of JJ until injury last year?...

Re: Well Jarious or Buck
Today's Blitz section in The Province is a terrific read today and is must read by all with a good story by Ed Willes featuring Wally Buono on the Hufnagel curtain - closing practices. Wally's concern is fairness and he uses his starting QB as an example. Willes replies that viewing the Lions at pra...
