Re: Rintoul is toast (grab the pitch forks and storm TSN 104

There's a rumour out there that Rintoul will assume Dan Russell's old Sportstalk spot on CKNW. If that is true, things could get interesting.

Re: Rintoul is toast (grab the pitch forks and storm TSN 104

With all the games televised the actual play-by-play product lacks value. It's the elements around it which have value like pre and post. With a distinct lack of competition in the radio market in terms of sports (News 1130 is irrelevant, and CKNW stopped trying years ago) both the Lions and the Whi...

Re: Rintoul is toast (grab the pitch forks and storm TSN 104

My bet is that Scott will be on contract, and that Lions football will be a shared inventory property on 1040 or 1410. Bell made over 700 million in the third quarter, so it's not like they are on the edge of oblivion. Corus is skewing to a female audience, and only an arrangement like Calgary (wher...

Pre-CFL Draft edition - Krown Countdown U

Added a few innovations and found a lot of video. Very happy with the quality of this one. Watch at 1080p.

We cover a lot of players, and it's not as easy of a draft to suss out this year.

KCU Vanier Cup Preview - UBC v. Montreal

New to the Canadian University game? Want to see a BC team compete for a national championship?

I would encourage you to take some time out to watch, as our recap/preview is MUCH better than what Sportsnet will mail in. (pregame starts at 9:30 am Saturday).

I did not see that coming... Odd play calling by Calgary to not fully use the running game.

The Uteck Bowl should be a win for UBC even if they are playing four time zones away at St. FX in Antigonish.

Thanks for getting the word out, Bake...

Here's the latest KCU and if there is one part you want to watch it's at the 16:00 mark, where X's and Olson break down the outstanding play of Dino/Stamps draft pick Andrew Buckley.

We should get the numbers very soon. Fingers crossed that it was a moderate success. 29-0 at the half did not help the cause.

Biathlon II: 79th Hardy, UBC @ UC; Lions @ Stamps

Planning a trip to Calgary? Get there a day early to see the 79th Hardy Cup which kicks off at Noon MT on Saturday. I have the (1)Dinos as -14.5 over UBC, but stranger things have happened at this level.

If you can't make it, it's on Global at 11 PT.

Van City football biathlon - UBC at noon, Lions at 4

Noon: UBC Thunderbirds host Manitoba in the Canada West semifinal at NOON - which you can also see as part of a national broadcast on Global TV. Then, an hour away, the Lions play the Stamps... That's right... Canadian college football on Global TV from coast-to-coast. Folks in US border states can ...
