Re: Comparison of player costs NFL to CFL
Good points made by all. One thing about the CFL opening the books is that the bleak picture shown is more or less that of a dummy corporation given the Bell Media connection and the TSN friendly television and radio rights deal. Comparing that source of revenue for the NFL to the CFL is around $7,0...

Re: Comparison of player costs NFL to CFL
I've regularly pulled the annual reports of the 3 community clubs as they do shed a lot of light on what might be happening with the private teams. Still it's not easy to make any apples to apples comparisons due to the different ways things are reported and the different structures teams have when...

Re: Comparison of player costs NFL to CFL
Good post Sir Purrcival. I would like to add that few professions require harder work than attaining a career in athletics. Certainly not politics or accounting or real estate.... When you think of the few that reach the highest levels it might be a wise thought to caution against such a lofty pursu...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Montreal looking good at receiver with BJ Cunningham signing to go along with Eugene Lewis, Naaman Roosevelt and Jake Weineke. Not sure how they plan to work the ratio. Henoc Muamba helps.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Ellingson is still out there mostly because until Feb 9th he can't sign with anybody other than EFC. With what they've done to date with Walker it would seem Ellingson is too expensive for them. However with today's sudden turn of events with Milanovich leaving should Elizondo turn out to be the ne...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
With the CBA up BB16 won't be signing a long term deal imo. It's one year.
Could be just posturing on Burnhams part with two weeks left.
Ellingson still out there in a move that won't sell one ticket.

Burnham tweeting a warning by the sounds of things.
I could see Winnipeg in the bidding on this. They have been looking for that piece for a while.

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021
Ambrosie still going on about the global initiative makes me think the CFL is working on behalf of TSN with that one. Looking for players in Sweden and Japan doesn't make sense. CFL is already tied up with TSN for an extended period at an incredibly TSN friendly deal. Follow the money back to Bell M...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Not sure it was all good but Jennings and Campbell were together in 2019 and believe he made it through the season. Just saying.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Would be a nice story if the Lions were to bring Jon Jennings to camp. Still only 28 and brings increased mobility to the team. Possible good short yardage guy. Blame Ed Hervey for his fall from grace and see what happens. Taylor Loffler is another scary name who never did disappoint on the field un...

Re: PAID MY DUES TIME AFTER TIME - LEOS NEW 2021 OFFENCE
That's another good post. To call it thorough is an understatement. Nicely themed acts. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your insight and knowledge. Many watch the game although not everyone sees the plays. Good luck to Jordan Macsymic. His time with Jason Maas will serve him well. It all c...

Re: Braley Wants to Sell Lions
Unless the estate is willing to dump the team at a fire sale price a fraction of $10M I doubt there will be anything new to report until the CFL has the green light to start playing with fans in the stands. Realistically why would anybody want to buy the Lions or any other CFL team for that matter ...

Re: Braley Wants to Sell Lions
Anything new given the developments?
Curious if a $10 million offer would be considered.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
True Dat what you say. And yet we all know the game that the CFL can be.
Curious how it is going to work with the new single game betting legislation. I notice the LeoVegas advertising up on the cfl.ca website. Sky is the limit once that kicks in I would guess.
