Re: 2022 Free Agents - BC Targets - Top 5
I wonder if with Walker and Lawler signed by the Elks at big dollars, it will cause them to go cheaper on the QB position and if so, that may result in a seasoned vet coming west tomorrow.... I don't see Arbuckle being willing to go the Lions back-up role so he may want to be signed in Elks-ville. W...

Re: 2022 Free Agents - BC Targets - Top 5
Harris missed a number of games late in the year. He seemed to be running hard when he came back into play. Will water injury he had (I don't recall what it was) affect the bidding from Winnipeg or other teams?
Tune in tomorrow....

Re: 2022 Free Agents - BC Targets - Top 5
Assuming that the stories of the Lawler offer of $250K is accurate, I wonder, for the Bombers, if it will come down to a choice between Andrew Harris and Lawler. If the Bombers match the offer for Lawler, I'd guess that Harris will hit free agency and wonder if the Lions are interested in putting a ...

Re: 2021-22 NFL Season thread
It's starting to look like Mahomes is a one trick pony. In his first few seasons (all the way up to the SB win) he effectively used his unpredictability. There were a few regular season games this season where KC was stomped on (along with the SB loss and today's game) where a disciplined D was abl...

Re: Lions 2022 free agents
Very illuminating interview. Makes me very glad Bryan is back. I especially loved Andrew Peirson asking "the tough questions" at the end of it!! Great stuff. JC Abbott has more on Bryan's last year too..... https://3downnation.com/2022/01/28/there-were-days-where-i-didnt-want-to-do-it-lion...

Re: It's Rourke's Offense Now
They have a whole offseason to implement a new offense if needed. With Reilly and Durant off the books, that's over 700k to spend on building the O and D lines. If Chungh comes off the books, that is even more cap savings. Resign Burnham Resign Cottoy Draft Sow to compete at RG Sign a stud DE Find ...

Re: Lemar Durant released
His injury might have been in the back of his mind and maybe he did not want to push himself in case he re-injured, but even more concerning was him being almost uninvolved with his team on the sidelines . I was not aware of this. Lemar seems like a good guy to me and I thought had a really good ra...

Re: Lemar Durant released
They will both be Lions next year I'm not at all sure that Durant will be back even at a reduced cost. I was very disappointed by his level of compete when he returned from injury last season. His injury might have been in the back of his mind and maybe he did not want to push himself in case he re...

Re: Lions 2022 free agents
Of course the “wildcard” in all of this is they have to try and sign Jevon Cottoy too. Was likely on a very cap friendly rookie type deal last season and poised for a big pay raise. /quote] I think that Cottoy has a bunch more upside than Durant. I guess I'm saying that BC should move on from Duran...

Re: Lions 2022 free agents
If it comes down to Durant or Burnham at $170,000, the choice of Burnham is obvious, even with the nationality issue.

Re: Geroy signs with the Elks. Is this a big loss?
At the very least we are losing a great ambassador for the club and one of the most recognizable faces of the franchise. :sigh: DH  I love Geroy as a player.... in fact, I remember the exact instance when he became (IMHO) the best receiver that I had seen... taking over from Swervin Mervyn. B...

Re: Lions 2022 free agents
I wonder if Mike Reilly is inquiring about how mgt plans to re-tool this line; whether this is factoring in his decision to return? Good question David, I keep hearing that players on the OL need time to "gel" or to learn to play together. If the OL is blown up and most players are replac...

At the game so wondering if there was a reason that BC didn't call a timeout when there was chaos on the change to punt formation?

Re: Lions at Tiger-Cats Nov. 5
I am surprised that no one has mentioned Campbell's ineptitude toward the end of the first half on our time count violation. It was obvious to anyone watching that we were not going to get the play off in time. Instead, he just let the clock run to zero instead of calling a timeout to help out Reil...
