Now if they'd gone with that exact same look, except a black helmet instead of silver, I'd be very happy right now. how would the "BC" show though? Good point DPF. However, I still think you'd see it because there is an orange border around the black "BC" but the orange Lions' h...

Am I the only one here who prefers the orange 50th Anniversary uniform? I actually preferred it when they played in the regular pants toward the end of the season as opposed to the all-black pants. Now if they'd gone with that exact same look, except a black helmet instead of silver, I'd be very hap...

...and later as a teenager would snap pencils in my bedroom. That's the first time I've ever heard it called that. What I meant - and I thought this would be crystal clear but let me break it down for those with a one track mind - is that I used to listen to the radio in my bedroom to some heartbre...

I can still remember my Dad taking me to Empire. My first vivid recollections were the 1970 and 1971 seasons. Paul Brothers, Don Moorhead, Jim Young, Jim Evenson, Ted Gerela, Lefty Hendrickson.... It's funny one's childhood recollections: the whistle of the traffic cop on Hastings directing foot tra...

When did you become a Lions' fan

In which decade did you become a hardcore, lifelong, loyal fan of the BC Lions? Judging by the number of posts that I read on Lions trivia etc (about players like Matt Dunigan and Roy Dewalt), I am guessing the 80's. But then again, a lot of people have become converts since Dave and Casey arrived o...

I love art, film and history as well, but the tail gate parties at the art gallery are lousy! I know, they only offer up cans of Campbell's soup. Not good enough for my 'palette.' (sorry... an esoteric Warhol reference there). Welcome. Love your avvy. Aren't you a bit young to remember Willi...

I have a FREE platinum seat coming to me from the Lions. If one of you poor students wants to PM me, it's yours. You can sit in Section 41 - affectionately reffered to around here as the "high rent district" and can likely sit next (or near) my season ticket partner and me. Just remember t...

Lionheart wrote:Don't you mean "Dieter" Brock?
Strangely he went by two names. Initially he was Ralph Brock but later changed it to Dieter Brock. I'm pretty sure he was still Ralph in '77.

Whatever.

Western Semi. Our Lions coming off their first winning regular season in years (10-6 record - lots of those victories coming in the dying minutes). First home playoff game since '63 Grey Cup. Playing the hated Bombers in the pouring rain at Empire stadium. Leos clinging to a 33-32 lead in the final ...

Sadly, that closely resembles the gas meter when I went to fill up at the Esso station the other day. You want to put in just $20 bucks these days? Good luck. You better have some spare change in your pocket too 'cause that meter spins so fast now, the chances of hitting "exactly" $20...

Great story Lionheart but something's wrong with the math. You're 25? And you moved out here one year after high school? And the first game you attended was 1981?

Hmmm, something doesn't add up. :?
