Re: 2013 Grey Cup: Hamilton vs. Saskatchewan - rooting for?

Gotta cheer for the Eastern 'Cats! Lots of good comments listed, but in small part, out of respect for Mr. Braley. We had an interesting experience years ago, watching the Ticats embarrass the Lions at Ivor Wynne. Hamilton fans sitting near us started cheering for the Lions to try to make us feel b...

Re: 2013 Grey Cup: Hamilton vs. Saskatchewan - rooting for?

Put a green sweater on a guy and this happens? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h-1kRakzNk Ticats get my vote. They're every bit as good as a Rider fan. You're right. TiCat fans have been through a lot and their support has been strong, even through Ivor Wynne being in desperate need of replacement ...

Re: Game Day Thread, Nov 17, 2013 Ham @ Tor, Sas @ Cal

I wonder if the Riders got threatened with a fine if they didn't come out to to accept the WD winning trophy. What an embarrassment. Maybe they should not have a presentation. Just give it to the winning team GM quietly for their trophy case as that was embarrassing for the CFL and the Commissioner...

Re: Game Day Thread, Nov 17, 2013 Ham @ Tor, Sas @ Cal

Turnovers have hurt but Dickenson's offence isn't looking so innovative with 13 points. Credit also has to go to the Regina D..they have played very well. The way our offence played for most of the game against Regina..this game makes me believe we would be in the Grey Cup game if only we could hav...

Re: Game Day Thread, Nov 17, 2013 Ham @ Tor, Sas @ Cal

Looks like the Riders are being handed the Grey Cup this year.........puke :bang: Riders should send the Lions a big thank you. Rich Stubler for not making adjustments thus allowing the Riders to win and the Lions knocking out Calgary's two starting defensive tackles. Calgary failed to put a credib...

Re: Game Day Thread, Nov 17, 2013 Ham @ Tor, Sas @ Cal

Credit to Orlondo Steinauer for using his knowledge of the Argos offense effectively to make the 2nd half adjustments. (Just like Chris Jones did last year against Calgary in the GC.)

Sammy, I have to say I agree with you. Let it be Riders-Cats. Might as well see Austin face his old team.

Re: Who Would You Like to See Advance to the GC, and Who Wil

Calgary vs Argos They both deserve to be there. Too bad Nik Lewis wont be there for the Stumps and Kackert will be missed for the Argos. Nik Lewis took part in drills yesterday, but Huf doesn't seem to be that likely to consider playing him this weekend. I'd like to see Calgary-Toronto as well, but...

Re: Ticket Prices / Lions' Marketing

Heard a suggestion on the Team that CFL teams make public who is available for the expansion draft and maybe have TSN football panel do a mock draft to see what the RedBlacks might look like. I like the idea, keeps the CFL in the spotlight. Yes, I think it was Blake Price mentioned that. He didn't ...

Re: Final 2013 CFL attendance

The other issue is the natural grass that was put in at BMO in 2010. Toronto FC won't want to give that up, since it meets FIFA standards. (Natural grass coming to Rogers Centre for the Blue Jays is also a big reason why the Argos are being evicted).

Re: Sask 29 BC 25 Post Game Comments and Stats

[ Chapdelaine has driven me nuts at times too but we needed a fricken miracle to score a major from our own 35 with 28 seconds left. Bottom line is McCallum punted from the Riders 48 on 3rd and 6 with 3:07 remaining and BC didn't see the ball again until the game was essentially over after the Sask...

Re: Leos/Riders Post Game Stats and Comments

Well the Riders fans went home happy. There must have been a lot of nervous energy throughout the game because for three quarters, I thought the Lions were doing enough to win. They didn't. Lulay looked more like the Lulay of a couple years ago. Dashing off for big runs. The run/pass offence looked...

Re: Final 2013 CFL attendance

Thinking back on the home games this season, I'm a bit more dedicated fan than my friend (who decided not to go with me to the last two). I remember saying to him early season that "it looks like no one wants to win this game" a few times when there was little offense being shown by either side. The...

Re: "Who gets fired?"???

Exactly, it is a kind of wild west tone over there. It's what I'd expect to find having interacted with Rider Fans at Lions games.

Re: "Who gets fired?"???

After reading that thread, I found this:

Interesting read, a lot of Rider fans are actually very objective about their team's chances.
