Re: Brett Favre Retires at the Age of 38

Agreed notahomer, except in this case it is however one year too late.. WCJ gives a pretty good listing of the reasons just above you.

Re: Miami lands MLS franchise for 2010. Where does this leave us

Where do you come up with these sources? Do you have a subscription to Obsurenewsfeeds.ru or something? While this time I do agree with the headline.. they go on to report that both British Columbia AND Vancouver are in the running for a team.... And for the record, Miami didn't have a deal one min,...

Re: Ottawa???????

It really makes me angry to see the CFL suffer at the expense of the MLS. Seeing it suffer at the expense of any other league is bad, but to a joke league like that is simply galling. I am hoping Beckham going back to Europe full time now will really drive a nail in the coffin of the MLS. (For those...

Re: Miami lands MLS franchise for 2010. Where does this leave us

Of course the MLS is going to deny it. They denied Seattle was getting a team until the day of the press conference announcement. The MLS will deny the earth is round Uh huh... So you were wrong about a franchise being announced.. you were even wrong about the year, your title says 2010, the new te...

Re: Miami lands MLS franchise for 2010. Where does this leave us

After months of having January as the target for a decision on expansion in 2011, MLS will now wait until March to make its final decision on which two markets will be given expansion teams in 2011. http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2009/01/five-cities-left-as-mls-pushes-back-expansion-dec...

Re: CKNW - Pierce to tryout for Texans

Yeah I mean the Americans. If a Canadian wanted to be in the NFL over the CFL then it would be about money and prestige alone (and I would have a very low opinion of him :wag: ). I am just saying that the Americans would naturally rather have a playing career that pays the bills in the NFL and who c...

Re: Could Printers become a Lion again?

Well Jim Mullen just posted that KC will not be coming, I am betting he was warned about a certain teenage stalker in the area and was told it may be better not to attend.

Re: Could Printers become a Lion again?

So you have no proof, just wishful speculation. Sporting forums are full of that. Try posting it without the "I know all" childish jerk attitude and people may actually discuss it with you instead. Happens all the time with others.

Re: CKNW - Pierce to tryout for Texans

It is not the lure of the American $ that leads them all to look down there. It is A.) the big show and B.) the home league of pretty much all the players discussed. Love of the game is only valid if the CFL is their only chance to play. If they had the opportunity to play just as much in the NFL at...

Re: Could Printers become a Lion again?

The general manager of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats said Wednesday he has not given Printers or his agent permission to shop his services http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Billovich+keeping+hold+Printers/1230861/story.html Seems clear cut to me. facedown45 wanted proof, and it was provided on page 2 of ...

Re: Could Printers become a Lion again?

Cause Casey Printers is coming here next week, and not just for a ski trip or shopping trip like Joe Smith liked to do. Please show me proof "without a shadow of a doubt" that he is not coming to ski or shop. Is that not the kind of thing you usually ask? As of now Hamilton has not given ...

First time I saw this one I just thought it was great symbolism for "picking up and moving on" after Bob's passing.
