Re: Calgary at BC Nov 12 2021

Reilly is a good QB. His stats are actually quite stellar. But it just doesn't seem to be working here. His time here reminds me of Messier as a Canuck. Good player, but team as a whole is broken and, alas, neither has played a playoff game. If I was Doman, Campbell would be gone tomorrow (he is a h...

Re: Lions at Argos Oct. 30, 2021

I am thinking that two-point boondoggle is the fault of both Reilly and his incompetent handpicked OC. Coupled with Camacho’s epic meltdown, this winnable game marks when the Lions missed the playoffs. There are not enough words in the English language to express my frustration. It is beyond belief.

Re: COVID-19 : How it could impact Lions/CFL

If I was to wager, I'd put money on there being no sports whatsoever for the rest of this year. I think this thing has just begun.

Re: CFL Playoff Format Changes Considered for 2020 (or 2021)

I don't hate it. We would still have a West champion vs. an East champion in the Grey Cup. Even now with the crossover, there is East versus West in the final, but no guarantee the teams are actually from the East/West. The choose-your-opponent angle is interesting as it is a neat reward for finishi...

Re: B.C. Lions at Edmonton Oct. 12, 2019 - Game Day Thread

This is what many fans had been fearing. Reilly out and no real backup developed. We have Danny O’Brien, O’Reilly’s butler, when Kramer should have been given reps this year to prepare for something like this. Inexcusable. #

Re: Why Province Prints Letters from Ignorant People about Lions

Newspaper reporters are among the laziest people in the world, so if you write the story for them, then they will print it regardless of content. And if it sparks some controversy, then all the better. DanoT: One of the most ignorant comments on this board. I was a newspaper reporter for 13 years a...

Re: Tiger Cats at BC - who will win?

My wager is that the Leos win in impressive fashion and that leads to a six-game streak against six straight East opponents. So, after the next six games, they will be 7-8. A loss in Edmonton then drops them to 7-9, but they rally to defeat Regina and Calgary at home to finished the season at 9-9. A...

Re: Lions at Winnipeg Aug. 15, 2019 - Game Day Thread

I have no idea why the Lions have O'Brien as backup, other than the fact he is Reilly's concigliere. It is absolutely ridiculous there is no viable backup to either enter and do something or, more importantly, develop. Seriously maddening.

CFL Pool

Greetings three-down football fans: I have run a pick 'em pool for the past five years. This will be the sixth. Last year, we had 16 players and I thought I'd open it up to anyone else interested. It is run out of Kamloops, where I live and work (at Kamloops This Week newspaper). The following is th...

Re: What podcasts do folks listen to?

As for podcasts, 3DownNation during season is excellent. The Waggle has new episodes now.
All podcasts are free, of course.
Sun and Province will have decent coverage soon, while Kirk Penton at The Athletic has good stuff during the season.

Re: The Evolving CFL/NFL Overtime Rules

Wow. I was at that game at Commonwealth in 1991. I was sitting in the O Zone, getting pelted with all sorts of debris in my Leo garb. I recall clearly Lui just drilling the ball through the end zone from about 33 yards for the point and win. Was Kuharich coaching that day?
