Re: Past BC Lions TRADES - Evaluate and Discuss - Good or Ba
#3: (Unknown) for Crawford :sigh: Three games into the 1989 season, the Lions traded another longtime fan favourite, Larry Crawford, to the Toronto Argonauts for future considerations. I do not remember whom the Lions eventually received in return, but whoever it was clearly did not become a favour...

James Parker was acquired along with a 2nd round draft pick from the Esks for a couple of young NIs - safety Laurent Deslauriers and linebacker Frank Blakovec (Lions' territorial exemption (UBC) and 1st round draft pick respectively in 84) at the start of TC in 84. Parker was a great rush end for t...

You can see those bands at the Hall of Fame when you go to Grey Cup this year. The Hockey Hall of Fame is fantastic (not really my sport, but I recognize a nice shrine when I see it) and close to GC action in downtown Toronto. I'll echo that sentiment. I've been to the Hockey Hall of Fame in both i...

I know you are a huge loyal fan of Dave Dickenson John Henry and like you I wouldn't trade him for this season. However, Wally would be crazy to sign him to a three year contract at half a million dollars a season for three years. It has nothing to do with Dickenson's ability on the field. Yes, he ...

Re: deadline
Is there a deadline where the Murphy contract would have to be done? Or can they still negotiate up to training camp? Murphy is already under contract to the Lions for the upcoming season. He's entering his option year. Obviously they are trying to negotiate an extension now for the upcoming season...

I say we lock Dave, Rob, and Wally in a room till it's done. No deal, ..................... see ya Dave, cause we can suddonly afford to buy Buck and JJ a HELL of a lot of protection with $40000.00. I guess this is just one of the downsides of being GC champs but I'm just not feeling the love this ...

Re: I predict Dickensen will now be traded
With Murphy gone, I predict Dickensen will be traded and the Lions will get a boatload of talent in return that will more than make up for the loss. Pierce is ready to take hold of the team. At what point can a CFL team make an offer to Casey Printers? Please come back Casey... we need some excitem...

Originally KC was going to send Casey to Europe, instead they sent Jacobs? You would think they would want Casey to get some playing time after taking last year off. Croyle is all they are talking about down there. Printers might as well not exist. KC is trying to unload Green and will probably pic...

For what it's worth, I just returned from an international conference in Palm Springs hosted by my employer. While there, I spoke with an avid Chiefs' fan and season ticket holder from Kansas City who does not think Casey is going to make that team. DH 8) For what it's worth I was in Puerto Vallart...

Well for one, Pinball is still active in the league. He wasn't good enough to be in the HOF for his playing career. Sure he was a good punt returner, but certainly no Gizmo williams. There must be some reason they don't just let all retired players in the HOF? Isn't it supposed to mean something?? ...

Right, for more money than he'll get here. This shows me that he wants to play football. If cash was his only concern like he says, he would have taken NFL money or retired to real estate. This kid wants one more year, bank on it. He wants to play football, not sit on a sideline or slang condos. He...

Should be a good chance then that a supposed raw talent like Foley with an explosive burst off the line preportedly too and from hardly a football powerhouse like York will get a good chance to earn a rush end spot too. Lots of real competition in TC is always a good thing one would think and of co...

Foley, at 245, is quite a bit bigger than Wilson (230 range?), so the idea that Foley needs more weight to play DE while Wilson didn't doesn't really wash. Like to see Foley get a shot to step-up as the other starting DE - seems to have the quickness and athleticism that a smaller rush end that Wal...
