Re: 2021 season

In order for there to be an unlimited or even adequate amounts of the vaccine available, the Biden Admin in the US will first need to lift the patent law, which would then allow hugely needed production in India to ramp up. So far with the patents still in effect, the U.S. drug company lobby seems t...

Re: 2021 season

It is looking like by Sept just about everyone that wants a vaccine will have had at least one shot so I am predicting a Sept CFL start with limited crowds and seating.

Re: Joe Kapp (watching 2 minute warning)

if you know your BC Lion/Canadian football history, pretty obvious who Kapp was traded for. Dirty 30 Jim Young Ok you CFL history buffs, Jim Young was one of the few at the time to play Canadian university football and then sign in the NFL and he was a draft pick of the Argos. What compensation did...

Re: 2021 season

I've also watched all of the B.C. Covid briefings and read all of the daily and weekly reports since the beginning. My most important takeaway is that we are still on track to offer vaccination to all eligible British Columbians by the end of June and are expecting some form of normal life to retur...

Re: 2021 season

The August start with limited fans seems very realistic. Almost surreal watching the Aussie Rules game on TSN this morning with 60,000 fans and not a mask in sight. Had no idea Australia is essentially COVID free. Limited attendance now for pro sports in California. Population 40 million with 28 mi...

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021

Any kind of deal with the XFL seems questionable since The Rock and associates paid $15M and all they got was the XFL name and nothing else. There is nothing to merge, just The Rock with big name recognition and a bunch of $$.

Re: Rick Klassen Highlights

Klassen was a great player in arguably the best era for BC Lions in quality players, coach, and fans in the stands in huge numbers.

I enjoyed the video.

Re: Chris Schultz

Schultz was my fav TSN panelist Once he stopped being part of the TSN panel, I watched it a lot less.

It was his insight into the mind and thought processes of the players that I appreciated most.

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021

Can't help but feel positive about today's vaccine plan news from Dr. Bonnie. It is interesting that she cites evidence from Canada, UK and Israel to support the idea that a single dose can provide protection for 4 months... even though none of these jurisdictions have had vaccination programs in p...

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021

If most Canadians are vaccinated by Sept. (I doubt it but what do I know?) Then the CFL could start and play a shortened season.

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021

With access to the entire BC Place seating, the building could easily accommodate 15-20k socially distanced fans...wait that is pretty close to a pre Covid crowd .

Re: Solly to retire from CFL - will continue to reside in Vancouver

Arguably the best MLB to ever play in the CFL. How about "in elite company" Elimimian missing from this list with 833 career tackles. [Defensive Tackle stats were first kept in 1987 and special teams tackles in 1991] Most Defensive Tackles Career: Willie Pless 1241, Mike O'Shea 1151, Alon...

I doubt that Braley's estate would be on board with financing a cash loosing season.

Re: 3DownNation says 2021 Season May Not Happen

https://3downnation.com/2021/02/12/2021-cfl-season-may-not-be-plausible-league-could-look-to-2022-report/ 3DownNation reporting that sources close to league executives are saying the 2021 season may not be plausible. No season would surely be the final nail in Ambrosie's coffin. While no one can co...
