Re: Video: Bombers Zone Blocking vs Unprepared Lions Defence

On the 17 yard line clip, I think you could also add the mis-direction Winnipeg ran in the backfield. Thats what drew Armour away from the play. Then add the lead blocker taking on Marsh? To me the D-line looked fine on the play considering they were playing with two down linemen inside Winnipegs Of...

Re: Post Game thoughts

Another positive note is the season has just started. Now that the Lions coaching staff can see where they are at, hopefully they can see how to get to where they want to go. Maybe starting with running some screen plays, draws anything to slow the pass rush. I'm not going to panic until they lose t...

Re: CFL needs your Input for New Rules....

My rules proposals are to adopt the Canadian Amatuer Football rule on missed field goals. The retuner can take a knee and give the other team a rouge or he can run it out of the end zone, if he makes it out and is tackled inside the 20 the ball will be spotted at the twenty for their offence. The ot...

Re: Brendon Ayanbadejo on the CFL

sounds like to me that he enjoyed getting paid to play football in Canada while having fun and traveling around Canada and learning about other people and other customs, compared to the 'No Fun League' and comparable up-tight, high-stakes NCAA football. CFL/Junior College = fun NFL/NCAA = up-tight s...

Re: Great plays of the game....

A great play that wasn't mentioned by TSN was the block Bret Anderson made that allowed McCallam the kick the ball while it was on the ground on the blocked punt. If Anderson doesn't make that block, McCallam wouldn't have sent it downfield and Sask. probably scores a TD.

Re: Lions fans at Commonwelth October 17th.

I have never had a problem at Commonwealth and I wear my jersey and hat. Like all others I get razzed but it is all made up for when I see and talk to other Lions fans at the games. :bb:

I've come to terms with the Roughriders handing our asses to us on Sunday. If BC and Toronto wasn't in the Grey Cup the next best thing would be Sask. and Winnipeg. You got a bunch of 'Banjo picking inbreds' from Sask. with watermellons on thier heads in downtown Toronto, (and probably from Manitoba...

I think it could be a very big distraction. Probably the biggest kind of distraction for a football team to be facing in a play-off game. But, Jimenez, with the CFLPA decided to appeal the suspension. I think that if Wally sensed any kind of team harmony in trouble he would have urged Jason NOT to a...

For all the abuse the refs took this year (justified or not) todays officials did a great job today. All the calls, non-calls, replays and explanations were what the CFL would want thier refs to be all year long.

The phrase that 'Defense wins Championships' is inaccurate, and is proved by your numbers. A more accurate phrase would be that 'Defense saves Championships'........I'm not sure but I think Eddie Robinson said this.

I live in Edmonton and I've had mine up all year. That includes when we went down to Calgary to see the Lions and by accident I drove into the Stamps Tailgate Party. That was awesome.

When Lyle Bauer presented the Caravan to Milt, I recalled him saying that the fans gave the Caravan to Milt as a present. Should gifts from fans work against the cap? I assume the money came from the fans but it then probably went through the Bombers organization.
