Re: Watching games online.

My team in England were relegated from the Premier League last season so even though I pay for a large sports package I was unable to see the games that are televised in the UK. After a lot of looking around I finally found this site. http://livetv.sx/en/ I checked and they do cover the CFL. A word ...

Re: BC Lions & Whitecaps fudge attendance numbers

During last weeks Ti-Cat game it was announced several times during the broadcast that it was a sell out, but it was pretty evident that there were lots of empty seats in some areas of the stadium.

Re: Harris Basically Says Good Bye

Andrew Harris was just interviewed on Global TV. Our Leos starting tailback since part way through the 2011 season has played for quarterbacks Travis Lulay, Rob DeMarco, Mike Reilly, Kevin Glenn, and Jonathan Jennings is gone, it appears. Another big name Leos veteran leaves disgruntled. Harris bas...

Re: No more upper deck

No way i am spending a whole bunch of time and money to come over from the island and sit in the end zone. At least with the upper level I could buy tickets between the 30 yard lines. You lost our family!

Re: CFL Exploring Elimination of the Extra Point?

How about making it more like rugby. The extra point being kicked from 25 yards out at the point where the touchdown was scored. Lot harder to do it this way.

Re: The New TV Contract...

Agree with most that has been written so far. New play by play commentators are badly needed as are non biased colour commentators. Only major change I would like to see is a short post game show. Drives me nuts when the final whistle blows and we are in sports center in nano seconds. Also been curi...

Re: Bias towards the Lions

I wouldn't go quite that far. It's true that the game broadcast usually signs off right after the final gun but they often go straight into Sports Centre and intersperse some PG coverage therein, including a game highlights package (which I believe is usually the very first thing they show on Sports...

Re: Bias towards the Lions

Bias is in the eye of the beholder. That said, I think that one area that definitely needs better, and more forceful, coverage is for the league's lack of seriousness about blows to the head. Both the hit on Ianuzzi and the earlier hit on Pierce were done with intent to injure in the head area and ...

Re: Wanted: Some Heart, a receiver and some emotion

I have to agree with all that is written above and appreciate the in depth comments from knowledgeable Lionbackers. I found this quote today from one of the worlds best managers of all time. Maybe someone could pass this on to WB as I find it most applicable to the current situation. " Manchest...

We just have plain old digital cable. Satellites are less than useless here, and we don't have the luxury of affording an HD TV or services yet. I have several queries out to the CBC, Shaw and the Lions, in the vain hope that I can get a straight answer from somebody. I have written to all of the a...

Living in Nanaimo I have been watching the Lions games on television since the seventies. Due to my type of work I am rarely able to afford the luxury of time away at weekends to take in a live game. This is the first time if my memory serves me correctly that the Island has been hit with a blackout...

I just got off the phone with Shaw cable and they told me that CBC decided at the last moment to black out Vanvcover Island. No reason given. If you go to CBC sports and click on the live link they have a streaming feed. Picture quality is cr*p but better than nothing.
