I believe the players actually want the roster bonus. This is so veterans are not cut in training camp and out of a place to play as teams have set rosters after free agency. By being released now, Purifoy now becomes an option for other teams now, before free agency.

Thank goodness for Whyte. Last year we would have likely lost this game due to our inconsistent kickers. Still some coverage work to do on ST's, but it shows how great the D was, as Ottawa was playing on a short field for most of the game, and we still forced them to punt 9 times!

No official word from the Lions, but notice now only 54 names on Roster and a 10 man practice roster now showing. Assuming the 54 is including several players about to be moved to 6 or 1 game as Richardson is still there. Somewhat surprised among the names not listed are: Brauns, Guevrmont, Crockett...
