Re: B.C. Lions at Edmonton Sept. 26, 2015

I'm more excited about this game than I have been for a game in a while. Not expecting a win (though it would be nice), but looking forward to watching Jennings play. I still want to see McGhee get in some plays and keep the Eskimos guessing. Rainey is the most exciting player we've seen in a long t...

Interesting signing. He wrote a book appropriately titled "Free Agent", does motivational speaking, and plays piano, drums, and viola.

Re: Lions @ Stampeders -- Post Game Stats and Comments

What did Wally see in Printers, Wynn, Pierce, Jackson, Lulay and Reilly that they didn't see in Jennings? Why wasn't a journeyman ever brought in as insurance for Dickenson who was frequenty hurt? And it's not like Beck has Kevin Glenn's resumé in this league. It completely contradicted what the or...

44 in that video would have been adam leonard, not bighill if im not mistaken. 44 Bighill, Adam LB International 5.10 230 1988-10-16 Central Washington -- Lions' roster http://www.bclions.com/roster/index/team/1 Bighill wears 44. That game? Dunno ... Number 44 was far from the point I was making in...

Re: B.C. Lions at Calgary Sept. 18 - Game Day thread

Manny is a talented receiver capable of big plays. When he is putting in 100% effort he is still one of the best pass catchers in the CFL. But Manny is not a "clutch" guy. Geroy was clutch. Jason Clearmont was clutch. Dressler and Fantuz are clutch. Sure, when the game is on the line Mann...

Re: Lions @ Stampeders -- Post Game Stats and Comments

Like many posters, I am not sad to see Beck giving way to Jennings and, personally, do not want to see either Beck or Lulay back starting games regardless of how Jennings performs from here on out. JJ showed good mobility and a strong arm, and it definitely seemed to provide a much needed spark to t...

I agree. Too bad for Beck, but I hope we never see him again in a Lions uniform.

Re: B.C. Lions at Calgary Sept. 18

I don't disagree that Beck gives us the best chance to win (though I don't know this for a fact). But we've seen other coaches use 2 or 3 qbs in a game to good effect. Given Beck's limitations, I want to see other guys in to give the team a different look. McGhee showed in preseason that he has some...

Re: B.C. Lions at Calgary Sept. 18

I'm not sure why the Lions defense is getting a pass after last game, where they gave up over 300 yards passing, 150 yards rushing, and 463 total yards against an average offensive team. If Cornish is 100% and gets the carries, it's scary to think what he could do against our depleted Dline this wee...

Re: RedBlacks @ Lions -- Post Game Stats and Comments

If you look at the offensive playcalling in the early stages of the game, there were a variety of plays called, including various running plays, longer throws and short patterns. Ott was clearly focussed on shutting down the run and Harris went nowhere. The longer passes failed for one reason: every...
