Re: BC Place atmosphere

tarping doesn't really work because it doesn't "shrink the room" ... it just looks like a bunch of empty seats with tarps on them. You have to enclose to space to make it small and more intimate ... like the twin's curtain structure ... looks like stadium ends. Anyways shouldn't be a probl...

BC Place atmosphere

why don't the lions permanently drape off the upper deck endzones (see pictures below) to create a more intimate atmosphere at BC Place. http://www.baseballpilgrimages.com/american/metrodome.html with both upper deck endzones draped off you would have a layout similar to investors group field ... pr...

Re: Braley proposes selling his CFL clubs

why is this news! He says this consistantly every time he is out here over the past 5 years He also always says the right owner (i'm guess hands-off caretaker type like him) and premium price (heard north of $15 mil or more given the # of time BC holds the grey cup and its 5-7 million bonus ... if i...

Re: The New TV Contract...

- never go back to CBC, broadcast quality was terrible and they have no money. plus when they lose HNIC next year they won't have sports department. - only reason to split up coverage is they get labelled as TSN property and don't get good push/coverage on other carriers (ie. sportsnet which pushes ...

Re: TV Ratings

As well, Montreal games are usually lower because 200k-250k watch in french on RDS which is not reflected in the TSN numbers

Re: TV Ratings

Number are very accurate for NFL thursday night (US carrier not available Cda); Monday Night (US carrier not available in Cdn); Sunday day games (simulcasts). However, for Sunday night games TSN chooses not to pay to block the NBC feed, so they will be off on total audience.

Re: I Love This Idea

I've always believed if your inside you opponents 5 yd line, you should always gamble on 3rd down and go for 7 instead of 3. 2nd/3rd down conversion pct less than 5 yds is far higher than 50% so you end up with more points over course of a season and worst case you have your opponents starting insid...

Re: Aaron Hunt - released by Als

This would be a good signing for another year. Our d-line was at its best last year with a quality 6-man rotation (3-DTs and 3-DEs; everyone was very fresh). after QB, this is the most important part of your team to have top notch going hard every play.

Re: Roof: Opened or closed?

Its 2:30pm, i vote roof open. weather.ca hourly forecast says we might get some a bit of rain in the afternoon, but should be just cloudy from 5pm onwards (similar to Game #1 vs WPG) FYI: With the new field turf surfaces water makes the surface better (many stadiums actually spray the field with wat...

Roof: Opened or closed?

my view is the roof should be open in the summer unless its a raining cats&dogs outside. Given the humidity here is the summer, the stadium gets way too hot with roof closed. The fans are covered if it rains a bit. The stadium has drainage now.
