Re: Ed Hervey leaves Lions for "personal reasons"

I think my disappointment about the Claybroks season was that there was no adjustments made to things that were not working. The offence did not work and Claybrooks did not (or was not allowed by Hervey) make changes. I agree that with the changes in place at the GM position and especially the OC po...

Re: Ed Hervey leaves Lions for "personal reasons"

Nice to see you posting, Blitz. I am ambivalent about Hervey's departure from the Lions. It will be interesting to see the team roster in a month from now and compare it to last years roster... a bit of a guide to how well the new kids on the the GM block have done.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency

The Lions have re-signed defensive end J.R. Tavai, who played for Campbell in Ottawa in 2019 and tied for the Redblacks team lead with 7 sacks, so that's one more potential free agent off the list. DEFENSIVE LINEMAN J.R. TAVAI RETURNS TO LIONS FOR 2021 Great news. See Dusty ya just had to be patien...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency

I'll be very surprised if any of the Hervey-signed free agents from last year that have not played for BC due to the cancelled season will sign with BC before Free Agency starts. Yes, BC can re-sign them now before FA starts, but why would the players not dip their toes back into free agency? Proba...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency

Other than the QBs only recognizable name is Augustin. No surprise though that they and all other teams wouldn't want to start fresh again on recruiting players with no previous CFL history unless there was something they really liked about a given prospect. There's a whole new batch, albeit smalle...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency

The only part I worry about is that Ed had a really great ability to lure FAs here. Not sure if Neil and Rick can be as influential. But let's give it a shot and see. DH  I think that Hervey had certainly inked some very good FA's to contracts for this "lost" season. It wi...

Re: RIP David Braley

I met Mr. Braley once and had the opportunity to personally thank him for the support he gave the BC Lions and the CFL. I'm glad that I took the time to do so.

Re: 2020 British Columbia General Election Thread

I wonder how many voters let politicians bribe them into voting their way I would think that the answer to that question is 100%..... Damn..... I've fallen into the trap of responding to a political thread..... I was doing so well in not following elections underway... I feel a rising tide of sarca...

Re: 2019-20 Vancouver Canucks/NHL Season Thread

I try not to watch them because I am convinced I am a jinx and so far that seems to be helping. Haha, I'm in the exact same situation.... I do not want to watch or listen and I avoid any knowledge of the game as when I have watched or listen to their games, they have sank like a stone. I'll catch t...

Re: 2019-20 Vancouver Canucks/NHL Season Thread

While I do not follow hockey or the Canucks, I do wish them well in the playoffs. No matter if it is Football, Hockey, Baseball or Soccer, the playoffs or whatever the road to a championship takes becomes a fun time of the year with an increased jump among sports fans. And often in hockey, the harde...

Not really. It was a surprise that they got into the knockout round. The team did not have the full complement of offensive players attending and it showed.

Re: Simulated CFL Games

I watched one of the earlier virtual games and it seemed like BC was still using Jackson's offence even though the player names are updated. Predictable, with lots of short pass attempts for little yardage. It makes sense that the programming would be based on last years schemes, but I lost interest...

I'm a big fan of the cat's paw logo and wish there was more gear with that logo available these days.
