Stefan Logan - Willie Fleming
Before reading Chris Schultz columm on CFL awards I was thinking how at times Stefan Logan reminded me of Willie Fleming. Schultz calls him the best back in the CFL this year. I am sure most of this board did not see Willie play. His burst, ability to change direction, speed and fluidness were unpar...

Re: RIP: Bob Ackles dead of heart attack
Bobby Ackles defined class everywhere he went. His greatest legacy will be the fact he saved football here in BC. Today we heard from the CFL, tomorrow we will hear from his friends in the NFL. People like Jimmy Johnson, for whom he helped build a team, he left his mark everywhere. He was a true liv...

Re: Thelwell on the bubble?
Teyo Johnson is a TE/Slotback. He would not replace thellwell who is an outside receiver. Johnson will give them flexibility and maybe tey can move a current slot outside. I would more likely see TJ as 5th slot receiver or as a blocker in power running situations

Re: LaVar Glover re-ups with the Leos
Wally has done a great job of balancing productivity, pay and length of contract. if you look back over the last two years you see all CFL teams have jettisoned high priced veterans for youth. Names like Dickenson Kidd Hervey Mobley and probably 60 more have been let go by there teams. other than DD ...

Re: List of Mediocre Lions with a Single Memorable Moment
Maybe I am Just old enough to remember some of these names, But I beg to differ on three names. Joe Forquean was always a solid DB who could cover and hit a ton. He could play today, I think. His career cold never be called mediocre. Charles Gordon would have made my all ball hawk team. Whether it w...

Butler looks like a stater
This trade shows that Hamilton wants to go for a two QB system similar to Dickenson/Pierce. Maas was both unhealthy and ineffective last year. Coaches may have decided he is better off the bench (as in Edmonton). As far as the trade they must have believed in him. Shaw is a #1 choice who will make R...
