Some significant changes to the line-up in what will be the first of three meetings with the Stampeders over the next six weeks.

Offence:
Out: RB James Butler (ankle/ribs) In: Bruce Anderson
Defence
Out: CB Delvin Breaux (illness) In: Jalen Edwards-Cooper
Out: S Quincy Mauger (groin) In: Manny Rugamba. The versatile & valuable Louchiez Purifoy shifts to safety while Rugamba will play SAM.

Stamps are hurting too with starters LB Jameer Thurman, S Brandon Dozier and OT Julian Good-Jones added to the 6-game injury list. RB Ka'deem Carey also will miss his 2nd straight game along with R Malik Henry.

If Anderson is playing, why not give David Mackie another shot? He really showed his power the last time he got a chance to run the ball. Great blocker as well. Perhaps they will play both of them and have Anderson return punts. I think he played special teams with the Elks last season.

I hope they use both guys. I wanna see Mackie get more of a look. I liked the way he played last time he got a chance. Reminded me of Millington just mowing down guys.

Rugamba and Edwards-Cooper are both good players. Edwards-Cooper started at corner as a rookie last year. Anderson also showed some flashes in camp, but more as a receiver and returner than a runner. It will be interesting to see how he’s used. I was hoping Purifoy would be used as a safety before the Lions chose to put him at SAM. With his experience, he will be an upgrade on Mauger there.
