It's here. The wait is finally over as our Leos kick-off their 65th regular season.

Time to unveil Jarious's new offence, possibly a more aggressive defence from Mark Washington too. And let's not forget Wally's new "reckless" approach to coaching in his final season (of course, reckless to Wally means deferring to the second half ), and all the newcomers suiting up in orange and black this year. Can't wait for kick-off!

Almost lost in the opening week hype of the $65 package of 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs, 2 beverages is that it is Wall Of Fame night at half-time, honouring Jamie Taras and one of my favourite All-Time Leos, the charismatic shut-down corner, Eric "E" Carter.

This is a huge test for the Lions, who haven't got much respect throughout the league based on their poor record last year. People forget that the Lions were picked by many to compete for the Grey Cup last year, and they've upgraded their talent at many positions this year. The changes to the coaching staff and the introduction of a new ball control offence and more aggressive defence are other key changes.

The Alouettes, on paper, have a lot of talent, including many ex-Lions who will be keen to play well against their old team. They haven't been able to put it all together and generate a consistent offence, but if they do they can compete with anyone, especially with Rich Stubler coaching the defence.

Getting into a rhythm on offence and generating points in the first half are key goals for both teams in this game. It can generate momentum that can carry the team in the coming weeks. Laying an egg in the opener can also have lasting effects for either team. It's a new season. In this league, teams can go from last place to first. What happened last year isn't necessarily a good indication of what will happen this year.

Looking forward to the Lions' first win of the 2018 season. Montreal historically has not played well on the west coast. Hope Buono doesn't get his way of having the roof closed.

I don't know, TheLionKing. It's not looking good. There's a wispy cloud hovering over Mt. Seymour.

LU says Winston Rose and Antonio Johnson are expected to be the healthy scratches from the 46-man roster.

Winston Rose is dressed. It looks like Keelan Johnson is the second scratch, along withh Antonio Johnson.
