I think if Washington's DEF prepared as thoroughly for playing versus dancing and celebrating, they might have made the playoffs.

TSN didn’t find the replay evidence until after the convert. Too late to overturn.Ballistic Bob wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 7:53 pmWhy wasn't that blocked punt ruled down by contact. Can the Lions expect an aplogy from the CFL. BB
TSN provides the video replay to the command centre. I don’t know if the command centre has access to video before TSN shows it. They didn’t used to. That’s why the command centre couldn’t look at video during commercial breaks. They had to wait for TSN to return to the air to show the replays.Ballistic Bob wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 8:57 pmI didn't think it was tsn responsibility to look at touchdowns or change of possessions but CFL command
Wouldn't make a difference if the person reviewing the play is a graduate of the Helen Keller school for blindBallistic Bob wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 9:40 pmNot to beat a dead horse but isn't every touchdown or turnover reviewed regardless of commercials or tsn turning over video. I'm hoping command did see the touchdown
That being said the touchdown wouldn't stand otherwise. BB
The bigger question is does the command centre have the necessary tools to make accurate, timely decisions? Here's a line from a CFL news release in 2009 when the command centre was launched under the direction of Jake Ireland:
CFL LAUNCHES ITS COMMAND CENTREIt’s important to note that Ireland will see the same TSN replays fans can watch from home, but he will also have access to computer technology that allows him to slow down and isolate images to ensure the right call is made. Developed by DVSport, the technology is already being used effectively by other high-profile sports including NCAA football.
I was thinking the same thing. I addition to Harris LeFevour hung a couple other receivers out to dry with the equivalent of hockey suicide passes.
It's the first time I have seen LeFevour try to make some passes. I have seen him do 3rd and short a number of times. He does not look like any kind of CFL QB prospect.
Brian Williams had a good segment on replay just a couple weeks ago. It took the cameras into the command centre. It was enlightening in that they showed the CC crew in action and I think dispels some of the misconceptions and urban myth about what goes on. It's definitely not 70 year old Jake Ireland sitting in front of a TV.B.C.FAN wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 9:07 pmTSN provides the video replay to the command centre. I laughed at the Wilkie reference too, he the master of the end over end spiral. I think LeFevour is well beyond prospect status. He's already been in the CFL for 5 years. He's something like Adrian McPherson, a QB sneak specialist with no upside.WestCoastJoe wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2017 2:26 pmIt's the first time I have seen LeFevour try to make some passes. Dunigan made me laugh at one of LeFevour's passes. He said about an end over end ball: "Option pass. Catch it at either end. I learned that pass from Tom Wilkinson." LOL
