Clutch final drive. Massive catch by Ianuzzi. Good see Leone put that kick in the stands for good measure!

Great win! Gutsy leadership by JJ. Fine use of what was available from Stubler's D. Tough game. Well played for victory!

This is the first time in Lions franchise history winning back to back games in Ontario. Mind you there haven't been a lot of such opportunities to convert — the last chance came in 1992 when they were swept in Ott & Ham.

Hats off to our D — after allowing a TD on the Argos' opening drive of the ball game, they surrendered only two FGs while forcing 7 punts and a pick.

Average field position for the game:
Tor: own 29
BC: own 40

Whatever clock management issues there might have been late in Q2 certainly didn't happen late in Q4. We wrapped with a 10-play, 61yd GWFG drive that consumed all of the final 3:32 of the game.

Actually think Stubler's scheme played into the Lions hands on that final drive. Lions didn't need to stretch the defence and go vertical. The short but productive plays allowed them to milk the clock. Good yardage on the ground too including Jennings draw. Stubler probably needed to get aggressive at some point to try and get the ball back or at least force the FG try sooner.

Thought the key play of that drive was the quarterback draw. Argos didn't see that one coming.

QB draw, screens and swing passes. They didn't all work but they helped the Lions move the ball in short chunks, just as Ricky Ray tried to do.

The Lions kept Ray off the field for the final four minutes of the game. That may be the most important stat of the night.

Maybe the Lions will get smart and adapt the final drive success to fit into the O play calling for an entire game. OTOH doing that could give the opposing D the opportunity to figure out how to shut down the Lions prior to the final drive of the game. OR the short passing, running, QB draw plays if run for an entire game might make a final game winning drive unnecessary. :dizzy: :dizzy: :hypno:

Generally speaking I would like to see a few more quick passes, faster developing plays in the scheme. Sooner or later, Jennings is going to get hurt. He takes a lot of hits even when the play is successful.
