Paul McCallum to retire as a Lion

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Yes, it is a family movie, Sir P, with a happy ending.Sir Purrcival wrote:We're still taking about football right?WestCoastJoe wrote:Great, great kicker. FGs especially. Accurate punts also.
Happy ending.
Trials and tribulations earlier in life, as with the manure delivery by deranged Riders' fans. A nice soft landing with the Lions, where he had great, great success. Longevity on the field. And home to retire from football. Now he has to join the rest of the full time working stiffs.
It is all good.
