Of all the pictures of Lui Passaglia, I'd say this one is the most unique. While there's lots of photos of him in action and in celebration, including with the Grey Cup, this is the first picture I've seen of him with his three Grey Cup rings in this article published earlier this year.

The only thing that's missing in the picture is his fourth Grey Cup ring he won in 2006 as Director of Community Relations.

Hi. First post here. I live in Montreal. We don't play you guys til the final reg season game. Got my Grey Cup tix and I'm flying to Vancouver with my dad for whom it will be his first time in the city.

This is a good thread to start with because Lui won his 1st GC in Mtl then my first GC game in Calgary in 2000 was his last. It was a great experience to have shared with all those Lions fans in attendance that night.

That eskimos downfall vid is hilarious btw. Good luck against the arrrrrgoooos.

Recent articles about Lui Passaglia published on 2014 Grey Cup weekend that talks about his memories of his 1994 Grey Cup game 20 years ago as well as his battle with cancer:

Written by MIKE BEAMISH:

which contains a factual inaccuracy: Passaglia stroked a 38-yard field goal with no time left on the clock to give the Lions a 26-23 win over the Baltimore Stallions on Nov. 27, 1994 at BC Place Stadium. - The team was not called the Baltimore Stallions in 1994.

But is an otherwise great article with Q&A interview with Passaglia. I like the fact that it:

1. Commends the starting QB for most games in the 1994 season, Kent Austin.
2. Correctly mentions he won FOUR Grey Cup rings, with the 2006 one as a staff member.

It also mentions his so-called ring on ebay for the 2000. I'll mention it in the other thread.

Great CBC video interview of Lui Passaglia:

A third decent article about him:
http://globalnews.ca/news/1698918/lions ... es-cancer/

which unfortunately contains another factual innaccuracy: After the luncheon, former teammate Damon Allen reminisced about the Lions’ 2000 Grey Cup win, specifically a photo of the two of them kissing the Grey Cup after Passaglia won the game on a last-second field goal.

- Lui's second successful field goal gave the Lions a 28-20 lead but was definitely not a last-second field goal as there was 1:25 remaining and the Lions allowed the Alouettes to score a quick TD but managed to thwart the 2-point conversion.
