So for all those that were watching the ticats get beat down by montreal, you know that the grey cup half time band is none other than surrey's own "Theory Of A Deadman" (lol @ the north delta referance by randorff....) All I can say is that this, like tom petty and the black eyed peas, gives me more time to worry about food for my guests. I Cant stand TOAD and their wannabe nickleback tunes. Tho, that would have been even worse, to have those tools there. Hope everyone is able to find something to do at the half. Unless of course you love bland rock..... :rockin: :bang:

I didn't like the Black Eyed peas either but my teen aged son did. It didn't matter anyway as we were just so excited to be at the Grey Cup game.

Come on now, I'm sure they tried real hard to get the Backstreet Boys to perform. :tease:

I realize that comparing half-time entertainment between the Grey Cup and the Super Bowl is always going to be unfair to the Grey Cup to some extent. However, this year the gulf is particularly wide. The Grey Cup has lined up a band so marginal that the guys in the band have never heard of it, while the Super Bowl gets Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, quite possibly the greatest live band in the history of rock 'n' roll.

I was hoping that the Grey Cup committee would have swung for the fences a little more given that this Grey Cup is likely to generate record revenue, but no one can complain anymore that they're ignoring the 18-30 year old demographic (with whom the CFL has always been hopelessly out of touch). Conversely, there will be thousands of young people watching the Super Bowl going, "why did they book someone my Dad listens to?"

I saw Springsteen 5 times in 2008. He is definitely so not ready for a wheelchair. Two nights in a row in Oslo, over 3 hrs each night. Jaw dropping energy. Amazing.

I watched the Guess Who reunion a few years back. I was easily the youngest person doing so.
