3 man rush and we can't even block that

Okay, enough of Beck, he isn't the next one and I can tell that in all his 10 plays as a CFL'er. What a waste of time spending with him, he isn't a gamer at all. Time to try Partridge from our bare tree.
Entertainment value = an all time low
I could appreciate that if he had the ability to run, but he is going to get chased down by DT's.B.C.FAN wrote:The Lions blocked it. Beck just panicked and left the pocket.Sir Purrcival wrote:3 man rush and we can't even block that

I wonder how Benevides is going to explain away this game in the post game.

Cue up the post game thread where we talk about how bad the coaching is. The play that stands out was not giving up a single on the missed FG so that we could go 2 and out and then give up the safety so we give up two and kick fifteen yards deeper.

What do you mean, don't you know he is going to be happy with the game they played. Everything is rosey, nothing is wrong, etc. etc. Chest bumps for all.TheLionKing wrote:I wonder how Benevides is going to explain away this game in the post game.

Beck for a seasoned pro looks so tentative. No fire in his eyes. Another loss.Rammer wrote:Okay, enough of Beck, he isn't the next one and I can tell that in all his 10 plays as a CFL'er. What a waste of time spending with him, he isn't a gamer at all. Time to try Partridge from our bare tree.

Hopefully if it must be, another nail in the Benevides coffin.

Oh, there is no quit on this team. We made a few mistakes. We'll go back to work and correct our mental mistakes.Sir Purrcival wrote:What do you mean, don't you know he is going to be happy with the game they played. Harris looks done.

Wow, Harris can't put any weight on EITHER foot.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
