Argos pass rush owned the Bombers offensive line in 2nd half.

That’s the Argos’ third Grey Cup victory since the Lions last played and won the Cup in 2011.

That was great. Nice for Argos to win after missing two field goals.
Actually missing three field goals as a blocked field goal is a missed field goal.

Boris Dede was 3 out of 6 in field goals.

Marc Liegghio was 1 out of 2 field goals, but the missed final TD conversion turned out to be the main difference in terms of scoring.

Game MVP: HENOC MUAMBA
Game MVC: HENOC MUAMBA

That's the second time that's happened after Andrew Harris won both after the 2019 Grey Cup.

The MVP award is more prestigious than the MVC, so if the MVP happens to be Canadian then by default he wins the MVC as well.

But revisiting the fiasco from the 1994 Grey Cup post-game awards, originally it was Lui Passaglia as MVP and Sean Millington as MVC. But since Passaglia was Canadian, then shouldn't he win both awards before the mistake was announced?

He’ll either be the No. 1 QB in Toronto next year or 1A. MBT will likely retire.

Actually, we should just lobby to be moved to the East Division. West Teams knock the crap out of each other to get to the Grey Cup each year and East get a free ride to the Grey Cup and then have a 50/50 chance to win the big game on a neutral field.

Delighted that the Bombers didn't threepeat. Boring first half but an exciting first half. Half time show meh. Who are these guys ?

I'm surprised the Argos won. Although in my mind, the true Grey Cup was the Lions vs Bombers game. The Argos vs Bombers feels like an old school Eastern Finals matchup.

I always root for the underdog. Hope this resonates with Ontario

Won't go down as a classic except for maybe the last 5 minutes. As for MOP and MOC awards. Did I miss something there? Muamba had a steady game but aside from the pick, did he really deserve both awards? It would be hard to pick an MOP in this game as no one really stood out but I might have looked at Kelly. He did enough to get the game home coming in like he did in the 2nd half. Might have looked at the Argo's kick returner. He did a pretty decent job all game of giving the Argo's decent returns on the kicks.
Tough choice I must say.

I'm, sure that the fan at home in Toronto is estatic :roar:

No one player stood out statistically but seeing Henoc Muamba overcome with emotion as he received the MOP and MOC awards in his first Grey Cup victory was one of the most powerful Cup moments I’ve ever witnessed.

While only rushing for 24 yards on 6 carries but scoring the only two touchdowns for the Argonauts, A.J. Ouellette was always a conservative choice for MVP.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson was only 15 out of 28 attempts along with a fumble so he may not been the best choice for MVP, and Chad Kelly was 4 out of 6 but played little.

Had Winnipeg won, Janarion Grant likely would have been selected as MVP.
