Thelwell, Still all Class

Dunno about weird or buried - slotbacks get most of the CFL pass catching glory these days as they get way more balls thrown their way usually; Thelwell has been pretty well the most productive CFL wide-out, cumulative, over the last number of seasons - and regardless of birth certificate; he's IMO one of the best receivers in the CFL.

Weird in the sense that RT would be #1 or #2 on any other CFL team. Being a member of various team fan sites, like this one, Simon and Clermont are all the rage, and yet, a catalyst through all this is RT.

I made sure to say thanks to RT at the Lockerroom sale. RT's numbers do surprise me especially consdering he's a non-I. I hope he's off to a good situation elsewhere in the CFL.

Thelwell is thirty something. He will cost the Lions in $$$. The Lions are up to their ying yang in young receivers who will play for less: Lindstrom, Boden and Colon.

I'd also heard during GC week that Thelwell has hired a new, "young hotshot" agent who was looking for "Geroy type" money for his client.

Can't remember the source, so I don't know how credible.

Maybe he should start looking for "Geroy type" stats first. He can say this if he wishes, but other than NI status, Thelwell can't hold Geroy's jock in any regard.
