Here is one source I found. Definitely, there is no one size for everybody.

and another one

Apparently FIFA is not as particular as I thought they would be

I also found that a bunch of Stadiums in Korea have the same size as swangard, while Germany seems to use mostly smaller fields.

So where do the Lions play in the mean time? You don't build a stadium overnight. Sounds easy on paper, but it's not, really.

:whs:
Definately a good point. There's where business minds come into play. The only I see it working is if the government fronts the bill for the new stadium, then once it's built have BC Place demolished and sell the land to recoup the costs of building the new one.

Isn't that how all stadiums are built?

Of course to get the government to front the entire cost would be impossible. So the only way to get this done for Brailey to chip in some money or jointly build a stadium with Kerfoot.

yes but the timing is all wrong here. The Waterfront Stadium will likely go to rezoning later this year and it will be too late for the Whitecaps to reverse direction. The Caps have already said they're happy without having the Lions in their stadium.

The Lions can't play in a 15,000 seat stadium and soccer will never be so big hare that the Caps will need a 40,000 seat stadium.
