give'em credit for being great fans and lots of'em. we got nothing to be proud of when our community of 1 million can hardly attract 25000 fans to a game. whats up with that? why can't we do better. how do our fellow residents resist the call of the Lions. embarrassing.

Actually Winnipeg almost folded in 2000 when they were drowning under $5M in debt. It took them nearly 10 seasons, 7 playoff appearances, two trips to the Grey Cup, and hosting the 2006 Grey Cup to get back on stable financial ground.

Edmonton also had its hard times in the 60s and early 70s, so no franchise has been the model to follow if that is the goal here.

Blaming Ottawa for any league shortcomings seems to be quite fashionable of late, perhaps that is the course that is most politically correct at present.

The business side is so tough to draw any conclusions from though, for example the SMS works in Sask and Calgary, for the Argos it puts them at a disadvantage.

Not trying to take potshots, but look at ourselves, BC is a tough market unless the team is consistently outstanding.

Empire Field for example, great idea, but fans are not used to being exposed to the weather, and the team has been not very good at home, who can possibly plan for that to have happened? Toss in the Canucks and the new Breakers and it is one tough market.
Know the smallest things and the biggest things, the shallowest things and the deepest things. As if it were a straight road mapped out on the ground ... These things cannot be explained in detail. From one thing, know ten thousand things. When you attain the Way of strategy there will not be one thing you cannot see. You must study hard.
