Stay the course; it was just an off year, or a building year.

Hmmm... will we see Ssk three-peat on their cap violation?
Well see....it's not actually "violating" the spirit of the SMS Luxury Tax if you whine about it for 20 years first, then get the thing in place, and have it revealed that you cheated all the time you were whining about not having it.

Squeaky Wheels and grease, you see.

my list of guys who should be thanked for their time and contribution but who won't be at camp in 2010

D Line: Johnson, Hunt
LB: Armour, Glatt
Sec: Glover, Marsh
O Line: I am certain after the EDF Mr. Printers would say 'all of them' but lets start with an upgrade from Dorazio

I confess to liking the way Glatt plays, so I might be biased, but why would you get rid of him? We took him out of the MLB spot because we couldn't stop the run and it was all his fault teams were tallying their rushing in miles as opposed to yards. We brought in Armour and guess what, we still couldn't stop the run and IIRC gave up some of our bigger rushing games after the change. Makes me wonder if it was all his fault or maybe is it a front seven/six problem? I guess though maybe Armour is no good as well given he obviously wasn't the solution. I think it would take an awful good MLB to fight off a centre and still make the tackle, then again why is the centre always free to pick up our LB's?

We gave him limited playing time, he never whinned or bad mouthed the team and contributed in whatever reduced role he was called on to perform. Maybe he is not suited to be a MLB, but he sure continued to contribute in all other facets.I think you keep him if he's willing to stay!

I hope Glatt stays with us. I'd rather see him play on the outside than on the inside.

Our LB corps was unsettled from the time we left Training Camp. Schemes, personnel, all of it. And it never settled down. Recall the time when Jamall Johnson was available, apparently wanted to come here, and we said we were looking at him for ST work only. Oh my god. And we considered Reggie Hunt and JoJuan Armour.

I think our troubles run deeper than personnel at LB ... And I suspect a large part of it is dysfunction between Buono and Benevides. Does Benevides have autonomy? I doubt it. Should he have autonomy? Your call. If he doesn't deserve autonomy, then he should not be DC. As I have said, I suspect we do not even know Benevides own philosophy on defence. IMO ...

Just an idea, in terms of scheming, but with the emergence of the running game what about moving back to a 4 LB set? You have your front 4, your 4 LB's and your 4 DB's. I know it leaves you prone to MTM coverage which includes your safety, but if we lineup someone like Glatt and Banks as OLB's who can also provide coverage, we also have more pressure towards the front that could better stop the run, it could be something that might work?

Definitely not something to do every play, but perhaps it could be something we should look at in order to mix things up a little?

How do you violate a TAX unless you don't pay it? From everything I've read, the Riders have paid it no problems.
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

- a new offensive and defensive coordinator. On offence, playcalling too conservative and predictable. Does not take advantage of the whole field. If for no other reason failure to convert on 3rd and short. Had two years to correct this problem but didn't. Defensively, again too conservative. Too many times gave up big yards on 2nd and long. inability to stop the run. Took half a season to realize that Javy Glatt is not a middle linebacker.

- need to upgrade the offensive line

- need to upgrade the receiving positions

- defensive end and tackle

- a run stopping middle linebacker

- defensive backs who can tackle.

- a safety. Age has caught up with Barron Miles

- new kicker

Thanks for reminding me David, a new Director of Personnel. Front office receptionist is fine. I have a good accounts manager in Carola Bausch who address my concerns in a timely manner.

What changes I want to see next year?

That is easy.

1) a winning record.
2) an exciting and productive offence
3) a defence that responds to a loud cheering fan base with stops
4) hosting the Western Final
5) winning the Western final
6) a chance to see the BC Lions in the Grey Cup

How are those for some changes from this year?
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

Ding ding, we have a winner.

A great head coach delegates and not micromanages; hires the right coaches and lets them do their jobs. Wally's plate is full as is, with the HC/GM hats, without getting involved in situational playcalling; save for maybe the go-for-it versus punt/FG option on fourth downs.

Take the reigns off your co-ordinators WB. :beauty:
