Both QBs looked good - Davis for OTT and Fajardo for SASK.
Fajardo didn't win and the Noel Thorpe Def really ramped up the pressure on him in the second half but I came away impressed with his poise, leadership, clock management/time awareness and his scrambling when things broke down - very good for his first start. Equally impressed with Dominique Davis who if he keeps playing like this will make for a tough year for Jonathan Jennings barring injury.
Fajardo has just one full game but he definitely deserves the starting job.
The Dickinson missed challenge as that ball was NOT caught led to a FG. Challenge there might have prevented the FG but then again Lewis Ward just won't freaking miss anyway lol.
Overall a fun game to watch and TSN were beside themselves that these two inexperienced QBs produced just under 1000 yards in offence and over 300 years passing yards and multiple TD passes and NO INTS, No rushing TDs, no fumbles lost.
Some dumb penalties including on a Sask player on the sidelines giving the shoulder to QB Davis when he was knocked out of bounds.

No Harris, No Ellingson, No Jaime Elizondo and apparently No problem for the Red Blacks.
Wow! Major kudos to Rick Campbell and they're doing it with an all-national offensive line.

As Kate Beirness and Davis Sanchez were saying, the RBs showed little concern with Harris leaving making it look like the emergence of Davis at QB was expected. Jennings wasn't mentioned as it's clear they've found their starter and Campbell will be in no hurry to make a change even Davis stumbles.SammyGreene wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 7:22 amNo Harris, No Ellingson, No Jaime Elizondo and apparently No problem for the Red Blacks.

His 4 INTS vs Stamps last week weren't all on him but the stat line looked bad on that one. He was calm, cool and poised and hit his receivers nicely.
Fajardo on the other side did the same. He got away from sure deep sacks surprisingly well.
There is an argument for stability in GM and coaching ranks and OTT has proved that as have the Bombers with their current HC.

All factors for a potential drop off on offense and yes no problem. Defensively though yeesh. They were Pilsbury Doughboy soft in their coverage.SammyGreene wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 7:22 amNo Harris, No Ellingson, No Jaime Elizondo and apparently No problem for the Red Blacks.

Funny over on RF one of their main contributors was lamenting that the Rider secondary made an average QB look like an All-Star to which I responded REDBLACKS fans could be saying the same thing about their secondary.

Als quarterback Antonio Pipkin out for 4-6 weeks. Brandon Bridge signed as backup
Vernon Adams played well in the season opener. This should be the best opportunity of his career to become a No. 1 quarterback.TheLionKing wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 1:10 pmAls quarterback Antonio Pipkin out for 4-6 weeks. Brandon Bridge signed as backup
Dominique Davis sure reminded me of Casey Printers in his first season. Mobile and not afraid to sling it with a fine line between completion and INT.
As for Cody Fajardo....we let him walk why exactly?!? Is he making that much more than Danny O'Brien?
Always knew he was better than he showed here, or was allowed to show. His 3rd down sneaks weren't very good last year but when I saw him with the Argos 2 years ago, I knew he could be a good quarterback in this league.
