The Lions have tweeted out a new depth chart which shows Jeremiah Johnson ahead of Chris Rainey as the rotational running back. That’s likely a mistake as Rainey is still listed as the punt and kick returner. Both are on the roster.

Other than the 4 designated imports (who can't be starters) and the 3rd QB (who can't kick), does the depth chart really mean anything? For example, could the Lions put out their depth chart saying that Rainey is going to be the RB and Johnson the KR just to confuse their opponent but instead actually have Rainey return kicks and Johnson at running back?

In this case, one of the three RBs will be scratched from the 46-man roster. Two imports have to sit to make the ratio of 21 nationals, 20 internationals and 3 QBs. (Micah Awe is likely the second scratch.) We know Sutton is starting at RB, so either Rainey or Johnson will be the rotational RB and kick returner. Based on what I heard from practice this week, Rainey is in and Johnson is out, barring last-minute injury or illness.

Well tonight's the night ,US against the EVIL EMPIRE for all the marbles and a shot at a real play off run.

That's what makes last week so huge. If they had blown that 16 pinot
Lead and lost I'm not to sure what the mind set of the team would be.

Tonight's game is just as big and the Leos are going need every edge we can get and I really think they have one. I truly believe that there going to come out , hate in there eyes and fire in belies and make RIELLY and co wish they never left Edmonton.
