Leone booming punts

Fraser making plays

EJackson looking good ... For Ottawa

Papier mache defence for us

Swiss cheese defence for us

Rainey kept us in for a while

Manny going through the motions

Sinopoli very reliable

No offence for us

Soft defence

Who to blame? Can't be Wally. He is just the GM. Blame Tedford. Blame Cortez. Blame Mark W. Blame the players. Blame lack of execution. But don't blame Wally. He is the Teflon Man. And he is a good man. But his time seems to be in the past.

Who hired the coach?

Who brings in players?

Who gets the systems he wants?

Can't be Wally.

Who sets the tone for free agent appeal?

Who drafts players?

Who decided that we should bring in John Beck? Nice young religious man. Almost no credentials.

400 O for Ottawa. 100 for BC mid 4th Q.

Time of possession about 3 to 1 for Ottawa.

Quite so. Probably time to start a new thread here: Who SHOULD be GM and Coach of the BC Lions?

I'm not very enthused. The list includes Paul Lapolice, Mike Benevedes, and who???

Well, the word for this fiasco is well, besides fiasco would be disaster.

I won't criticize the defense on this because frankly, when you play the whole frigging game, what do you expect. I am surprised they did as well as they did for as long as they did. Credit to Ottawa too. They had some good trick plays and Burris was pretty much money today. They were full value for the win and the score flattered us.

The offense does not bear description. It was so bad, one wonders if this is a team that has totally quit on the coaching. If the Tedford tenure talks cooled a little from 2 weeks ago, this game has fanned them back into an inferno. I won't be at all surprised if there is an announcement this week that Tedford has been relieved of his coaching duties. That was such a horns awful performance you can't even imagine how even a halfway committed team couldn't do better.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.

"a horns awful performance"

And it would seem to put Wally on the horns of a dilemma. But then Wally's fingerprints are all over every aspect of our team.

I would be shocked if Wally resumed HC duties.

But it might put things in proper perspective. It might show how we slid down the slope, from leading, to competitive, to kind of a shambles.

Not as bad as it looks?

Players going through the motions. That is the worst signal. Troops that know they have no chance. Troops that quit.

Systems? We have hashed that about.

Players? Any top FAs choosing to sign in beautiful B.C.?

Shambles. Pretty much everywhere you look with this team.

QB? Any succession plan for oft-injured Travis Lulay? Nope. Developing any young QBs? Nope.

Any International RB depth to spell Andrew Harris? Nope.

At least painful results got us to realize that we needed size and strength in the interior of the D Line. D'oh ... A teenage boy coaching kids in football would know that.

Rintoul not sugar coating his questions to Hawkins. LOL.

Hawkins didn't take the bait on cohesion in the huddle.

Moj YES .. compete level.. He is saying that injured Valli was trying to get guys fired up while on the training table being treated.

Finally that is coming from others as that has been my point.

Compete level comes from the performance accountability put in place by the HC.

__

Harris left the building - no shower nothing.

I actually commend him for that based on my disgust with the HC and his staff..... Forget Wally, Forget Braley, Forget the mascot,.... focus on where the HC sets the tone and he isn't unless you call it a country club.

Toppy, who hired Jeff Tedford? Any responsibility there?

Who hired Mike Benevides?

I was thinking on just this very topic today. Is anyone, anywhere doing a good job of developing the next generation of CFL front office and coaching staff? Or are we just poaching people from the US on the fly and hoping for the best? Does anyone see this as a problem?

Full responsibility is WALLY.....

But JT just needs to start to do his job. Set a performance culture in place - he hasn't.

When I questioned the lousy process and rigour for all HC hires - benny, teddy - others just said go with the resume. But I know something about leadership and you want the new HC to speak to the kind of leadership and what he will be doing to make it happen. Wally never asked JT it seems. You bring in competing coaches to grill them on what your team needs even if u have no interest in hiring them... Not done.

MOJ is really laying it on the room and players now and the TONE folks is set by the HC and his staff.
