Vegas has the Lions as one point favourites. Sounds about right.

Braley West meets Braley East.

Cory Boyd not a happy camper. Cleo Lemon not lighting up the league. The Argo defence not what it used to be.

The Lions' receiving corps looking very promising. Dunno how much we will use the running game. If Lulay gets protection and a good game plan, he could put up some great stats in this game.

I would expect our defence to dominate the Argo's offence.

I wonder if Ra'Jon Henley will play.

Both teams need this game, which creates pressure, but I sense that the Lions have found their confidence with two victories in the past three games.

Lulay threw for 330 yards when the Lions played in Toronto last year but he threw a late interception to Byron Parker for a touchdown that determined the outcome. This year the Argos have only four interceptions in eight games and trail the Lions in nearly all statisticasl categories except rushing offence. The Toronto defence is ranked last against the run and pass and has allowed opponents a 72% completion percentage. The Argos have not been successful at rushing the passer, and are tied for last in the league in QB sacks.

With a year's experience under his belt and a talented cast of receivers at his disposal, all signs point to Lulay having one of the best games of his career.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that we'll take it, so long as we can put good pressure on Lemon. I think we can exploit Toronoto's Oline issues (which have actually been pretty bad this season) and pick up some sacks or interceptions from the rushes.

Or, we could just abandon that strategy give Lemon all the time in the world to throw. :dizzy:

Lemon has been playing much better, but those big plays that were their bread and butter have went away this yr.

I kinda sorta like the boatmen, but the Leos are my first team, they won't get well on us.

Not to raise the ugly spectre of "fix" in the CFL, but if you are David Braley which of your two teams do you want to win this game (or even the next)?

For me it's a no brainer - I need the Argos to win. Attendance is lousy and the product seems to be lousy in TO. In BC I have the last game at Empire which should sell well as a special event and then I am moving into what is effectively a new stadium where people will come to games just to check out the new stadium ala 1983.

Look to the Argos to pull this one out in TO and possibly on the return match in Vancouver as well.
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

Good question, especially with 500 million BC Place due to open a 2-9 team is not what one would call a big draw for fans.

Hard to believe BC would be road favourites in this one. Surely it's not because people might look at the win against a decimated (and overrated) Eskimos team as any indication BC is a dominant team.

Argos may not have the best O Line in the league but it's certainly better than the turnstiles BC has on it's interior O Line.

Well all we can hope for then is a RP or FM penalties from Ricky Foley to help turn the tide then.

Good news is the argos D line doesn't seem to know how a turnstile works. Push push Ricky ,it isn't a pull, its like those doors that confuse you so much!

Hey, if Cory Boyd is really unhappy in Toronto then we'll take him :good:

I'm sure getting 4 carries a game with us will only exacerbate his frustration.
