Offensive Player of the Week


SB – Milt Stegall – Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Hamilton Tiger-Cats 18 @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers 36

Highlights / Key Stats:

Milt Stegall caught his 138th and 139th career touchdowns, setting a new CFL record and helped the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 36-18 for their third win of the season. Stegall finished the game with eight receptions for 140 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

LB – Barrin Simpson – Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Highlights / Key Stats:

For the second consecutive week Bombers’ linebacker Barrin Simpson is honoured as the top defensive player in the CFL. Simpson recorded 11 tackles, including one sack for nine yards and collected his first interception of the season, which he returned 34 yards.

Highlights / Key Stats:

In the fourth quarter of last week’s game against the Toronto Argonauts, Brian Bratton returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown, helping secure a 26-13 victory for the Montreal Alouettes. Bratton completed the game with eight punt returns for 170 yards, an average of 21.25 yards per return.

In his CFL debut, Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ wide receiver Chris Bauman caught six passes for 81 yards, including a 28-yard reception. The Brandon, Manitoba native was selected first overall in the 2007 Canadian Draft.
