What the hell is wrong with Calgary? Two years in a row they lose to an inferior Eastern team in the Grey Cup. Actually this past decade they’ve dominated the regular season and have much too little to show for it. Throwing it into double coverage was so stupid, just like not giving it to Messam on the two yard line was last year.

This group with Dickenson and Co. has shown that despite looking like such a great team, they cannot get it done in big games. Unbelievable how Calgary had the game in the bag and then they fumble it deep in Toronto territory and it goes back the other way for a TD. Unbelievable. Good for Toronto, simply inexcusable for Calgary. They should be known as chokers. Unbelievable.

An obvious bad and inaccurate article by CFL.ca:
https://www.cfl.ca/2017/11/26/messam-na ... -grey-cup/

OTTAWA — Jerome Messam has been named the Most Valuable Canadian in the 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw.

The Stampeders running back took dual Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Canadian honours on Sunday night in the nation’s capital after helping his club win the 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw.

Messam ran for 62 yards on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground, becoming the first Canadian since Russ Jackson in 1969 to earn Grey Cup Most Valuable Player.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed another strong season for the Red and White, rushing for 1,016 yards and nine touchdowns — the second-most in his career.

WHAT! Messam did NOT win MVP as well.
Unless......it's a repeat of the post-game individual award presentations of the 1994 Grey Cup.

Well, I thought Calgary would do it this year but there is a reason you play the game. I won't call it a classic but it is typical Grey Cup, always entertaining. Calgary is going to be doing a lot of soul searching tonight. They gave this game away because Toronto sure didn't win it with dazzling offensive play.

Well, maybe it is a Huff thing because he sure had his share of underwhelming season finishes as well. Maybe they should fire him heh, heh, heh.

The Argos go from last place in 2016 to Grey Cup champs in 2017, becoming the first team to win two Cups this decade.

The Argos also join B.C., Calgary, Edmonton and Montreal with three Grey Cup victories in the 2000s.

Happy for Ricky Ray and Marc Trestman.

Stampeders? Not really a fan of Dickie as coach, although he knows his stuff.

Messam is a warrior, but some bad stuff follows him around. He played very well in a losing cause. Not talking to the press after? Understandable, perhaps, but bad form.

Bo Levi? He is a very good QB, but I don't mind seeing him lose.

Good for the CFL for the Argos to be competitive at the highest level.

Great job, Ottawa.

A satiisfying win for this CFL fan.

Ricky Ray becomes the first starting QB to win a 4th GC. Possibly a fitting end to a HOF career, unless Trestman convinces him to return for another year.
BLM hits another bump in the road in his pursuit of glory. Dickenson refused to discuss the fateful decision to go for the win, rather than sending it to OT.
TOR would have surely killed themselves with penalties, had CGY not handed them the win with 2 turnovers.
With the change in footwear at halftime, this was like 2 different games. Painful to watch all the early slipping and sliding.

Kemar Jorden standing up and taking blame. Bo Levi saying it is not all on Jorden. Thataway, Bo.

What sound does a horse make in Canada? Choke Choke Choke!!!

Seriously though they should rename this team the Calgary Chokers. I was pulling for Calgary this game and unfortunately they let the weak East beat them again! Very disappointing. Dickenson and Co should be ashamed of themselves.

In the years to come, I wonder if there's going to be a statue in Toronto of this immortal moment.

So happy the Argos won, the only western team i would have cheered for was the Eskies because of Reilly.

Laughed my ass off seeing the Stamps shoot themselves in the foot in the same way two years in a row.

Hopefully the Leos smarten up next year.

Back in the 2004 Grey Cup, when Jason Clermont was announced that he was the Most Valuable Canadian in a losing cause, he was man enough to go out and claim the award. Does Messam not to go out and claim his award makes him a sore loser?

Jerome Messam wasn’t necessarily at a loss for words after being named most valuable Canadian at the 105th Grey Cup, he just didn’t want to share any of them.

Shortly after the Calgary Stampeders dropped a 27-24 Sunday decision to the Toronto Argonauts on a last minute 32-yard field goal by Lirim Hajrullahu, Messam refused several requests for interviews and quickly vacated the Stampeders’ locker room for the team bus without saying a word to the media.
