Lions play their preseason game tonight against the Calgary Stampeders. Should be a good test. Looking forward to see how the new players do

Football is back! I'll be watching the stats and trying to listen to some of the radio broadcast. I'm most interested in postgame comments of coaches and others who are there. This is an audition for a lot of new players.

Anyone from here at the game in Calgary? DanoT?

Scoreless after the first quarter despite a wide edge in yardage and field position for the Stamps. Andrew Hudson and Josh Shirley had first-quarter sacks for the Lions.
Ty Long punted 4 times for an average of 49.4 yards.
B.C. QBs were just 4 of 9 passing with a couple of drops.

Pre season mistakes Price should be better in his second year. Looks like the D line are putting a little pressure on. Couple of drops don't help. Davis looks like a keeper. Can't expect much when you play a game this early in training camp. They will be much better next week against Sask. Terrible field position all first half.

What do you learn from playing poorly? Not much IMO.

Yes, it is a preseason game.

It has seemed like we have taken it really easy at TC so far. In Wally's early years we came out of the gate fast. This is somewhat puzzling.

Ty Long kicks a 46 yard field goal on the last play of the first half. 15-3 Calgary. It sounds like Long was one of the few brights spots for the Lions, with 7 punts for an average of 49.4 yards.

Keith Price was 9 of 12 for 56 yards in relief of Jonathon Jennings but Price fumbled in the end zone for a Calgary TD and threw an interception.

Shaq Johnson salvages a very ugly first half offensively otherwise. Could be some tough decisions looming at national receiver.

Tough 1st half. Pretty sluggish. Lots of mistakes, especially on offense. Disappointing that starting O-line sounded like they were getting over-powered.

Radio broadcast crew was saying at halftime that the Lions have offered to trade Ty Long to Hamilton. Eric Tillman is in attendance for Hamilton.
