(1) If he did not sign in the NFL, the #BCLions had a signed contract to bring Adam Bighill back on the roster on an assigned date.
(2) This signing did not make Bighill a true free agent in the CFL's eyes. #BCLions .

Jennings is under contract to the Lions until the end of 2018, but doesn't Jennings have a window of oppourtunity after 2017 to seek NFL tryouts and then return to the Lions only if no NFL contract offer happens? This sounds similar to Bighill's deal.
