2017 schedule

One quirk I noticed in the schedule is that both byes come relatively close together in the second half of the season, in Weeks 11 and 15. So the Lions play 10 games, get a week off, play three games, get another week off and then finish with five games, three of them at home and two in Winnipeg in October. That's not necessarily a bad thing, especially when compared to the Redblacks, whose byes fall in Weeks 18 and 20. That's bizarre.

Given the league's desire to continue with the LDC traditions it's a fairly safe bet BC will get a bye Labour Day weekend. If they were to space the byes out evenly BC would almost always get the other bye either on opening weekend or the final weekend.B.C.FAN wrote:One quirk I noticed in the schedule is that both byes come relatively close together in the second half of the season, in Weeks 11 and 15. You're as old as you've ever been and as young as you're ever going to be.
