The cardinal rule for an NFL quarterback coming to the CFL is to forget everything he ever learned about reading coverages.

I remember Ferragamo's debut well, going 13 of 30 with 2 interceptions in losing 48-8 to the Lions at Empire Stadium in 1981. He couldn't account for the extra DB on the field. He bounced back with a victory the following week but never did get used to the Canadian game. Montreal finished 3-13 despite a roster studded with big-name imports. Ferragamo finished his only CFL season as Montreal's third-string QB. Here are New York Times and Sports Illustrated article on his problems adjusting to the CFL.

The BC Lions Football Club today announced that international receivers Montario Hunter and Tyler Davis have signed with the team.

Hunter (6’1”, 190) attended training camp with the Seattle Seahawks in 2016 following workouts with both the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers. The North Carolina native split his collegiate playing days at Elon University and Elizabeth City State.

Davis (5’10”, 180) makes his way to the Lions after a short stint with the Miami Dolphins in 2016 preceded by a very successful two-year run in Germany. The Missouri-Valley grad saw action on both sides of the ball and earned league MVP honours in 2015 with the Kiel Hurricanes after tallying 94 receptions for 1,733 yards and 24 touchdowns along with six interceptions as a defensive back.
During his first season in 2014 with the Munich Cowboys, he recorded 28 receptions for 686 yards and six picks on defence.
"When I went to Catholic high school in Philadelphia, we just had one coach for football and basketball. He took all of us who turned out and had us run through a forest. The ones who ran into the trees were on the football team". (George Raveling)
