Playing at BC Place has not been kind to the Argos in recent years. They were winless going back a decade. That streak ended last year with a 40-23 victory. Argos coming off a bye week and lead by Trevor Harris filling in for the injured Ricky Ray. BC on a bit of a roll after sweeping the Riders back to back.

The Lions are looking for their third straight win. The Argos are coming off a bye and looking for their third win of the season, and second in Vancouver in as many years after 11 years of losses.

The Lions plan to start the same lineup as last week. Steven Clark gets his third straight start at wide-side halfback for the injured Ryan Phillips. A.C. Leonard will look to build on his two-touchdown performance in his debut at H-back for the injured Cam Morrah. According to LU, Zach Minter is a week away from making his debut at defensive tackle, likely at the expense of Craig Roh.

WestCoastJoe has posted the depth chart. The only change to the 46-man roster is the addition of free-agent safety Eric Fraser on special teams in place of Casey Chin. Jason Arakgi is still on the injured list.

Rain and cooler temperatures are forecast. Dennis Skulsky told TSN 1040 on Thursday that he's hoping for good weather but that the roof will be closed if there is a threat of rain.

Re the depth chart ...

Need to show Bighill and Elimimian beside Chris R, about 25 yards deep, in the very soft prevent zone.

What do you call that defence? Cover 8. LOL

What does it prevent?

It prevents pressure on the QB.

It prevents the two best tacklers from being in position for screen passes.

It prevents the two best tacklers from being in the box versus the running game.

Who makes the call on the roof, BC Place or the Lions? If it is the Lions, terrible decision. Attendance will take hit if the roof is closed. That place will be like an oven if that don't open the roof and get some air going through there....besides a little rain never hurt anyone. I doubt the seat would even get wet.

I think the Lions make the call.

And they can be a in no win situation. Fans wet is a bad news story as much as keeping out the fresh air.

Our Leo's are comming off two big wins over Sask in a home and home, a come from behind overtime win and a win in Gopher Ville has got to do a lot for the team.
Alot is being said about the D and the amount off yards they give up. Who cares there is ownly one stat that counts ,and that is the score at the end of the game.
Yes the Riders huffed and puffed there way up and down the field last week ,but what is being missed by alot of people is they did not score. They spent alot of time
on the field and chewed up alot of yards to kick field goals. In these last two games when we needed it most ,this young LIONS D made the stops it had to ,and that
is a big win .If we are going to go with the young guys then we have to be ready for some pain.

The saying KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID has alot of meaning with this group. Our secondary is made up of rookies and first year starters , Cord Parks is the ownly db that has
played more than 2 years.( Man do we need Phillips back) .keep the play infront of you, keep everybody on the same page ,everybody knows what they have to do
is our best game plan. The same for the D line ,the more complex we make the deffence ,the more chances of mistakes that lead to big playes. The more they play
together the better they will get . but it will take time and maybe a little pain.

The best game plan for the O is ball control , stay on the field ,get first downs ,score some points. Last week Idon't think we had a first down in 4 quarter, and that
put alot of heat on our young D. But hey they hung in and we came away with a win at there place. We started strong in the 1st and 3rd quarters ,but need to
finnish even stronger.
Our deffence will keep it close ,and our offence will score points ,I'D SAY WE GOT A GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING OUR THIRD GAME.

Here are some key stats from the CFL's weekly game notes.

Travis Lulay is 18-1 in his career starts at B.C. Place.

The month of July has always been Andrew Harris's best month. In his career he averages 117.2 yards from scrimmage in June/July, but only 77.8 yards in August and 75.4 yards in October/November. His career average is 90.7 yards.

Austin Collie and Emmanuel Arceneaux have been targeted by Travis Lulay on 44 pass plays. That is as many as the next four receivers combined.

Chad Owens has been targeted 28 times for the Argos, making 18 catches for 209 yards. Six of his catches were for second-down conversions.

We've discussed how the Lions have the worst red-zone defence in the league, giving up a TD 7 of 9 times. The Argos have the best red-zone offence in the league, scoring on 8 of 10 possessions inside the 20 yard line.

No crowds. Looks like it's going to be a very small crowd tonight

Nice mix of plays that are catching Argos off as they hadn't seen this mix - nor have fans.

Good opening drive for BC and Harris/Lulay/Leonard.

I saw what is wrong with the CFL in the last commercial break.

TSN Friday Night Football and Speed Stick has a commercial on using a Whitecap player(?). No offence to the MLS but can the CFL not do a better job of getting their stars in the public eye?
