First opportunity for fans to see this year's Lions in action at "home". Last opportunity for players on the bubble to show their stuff. Travis Lulay making his first start since the injury last season in Ottawa. Anxious to see how his shoulder holds up.

Five things I most want to see:
1. Travis Lulay survive the punishment and have success moving the ball.
2. The offensive line, still in transition and missing Matt Norman at guard, handle the Edmonton pressure and, with help from the backs and tight ends, pick up the blitz.
3. The interior of the defensive line stop the run.
4. The H-backs catch the ball and get involved in the offence.
5. Rickey Galvin, Alex Tillman or someone step up and have success returning kicks.

Yes.

See Travis survive and do well.

See the O Line handle pressure.

See the D Line stop the run.

See the H Backs catch and run.
.............

I don't think Chris Jones is making a lot of friends in the league, aside from his own players. I don't expect to see a coaches' handshake post game. And I do expect to see him throw the kitchen sink at our QBs.

Jones seems like the kind of opponent it is easy to dislike. And he seems like the kind of guy who can rally his own team.

The Lions' depth chart is posted.

T-Dre Player, coming off a strong game in Calgary, starts ahead of Dean Valli at RG. Kirby Fabien steps in for the injured Matt Norman at left guard. Tommie Draheim starts at LT ahead of Josh Aladenoye, who was the only healthy tackle in camp when Hunter Steward went down.

Shawn Gore is listed as starter ahead of Marco Iannuzzi at WR and Austin Collie inherits the ranger position from Gore (although the H-back position is marked as R on the depth chart) but this is just a formality as it's the way they've been lining up since the start of camp. Collie is the fifth receiver, who comes on in passing situations when Lumbala goes out.

Courtney Taylor is listed as starter at slotback but LU says he is still nursing a hamstring and isn't expected to play. That would give his challengers one last chance to step up and make an impression. From what I've seen, Taylor is clearly the best of the inside receivers when healthy.

This will be our first chance to see all fur projected starters on the D-line. Jabar Westerman and Khreem Smith are at ends and Michael Brooks and Zach Minter are at tackles. I hope Minter has a better game than he did last week in Calgary.

All other positions on the depth chart are unchanged since the start of camp.

Depth chart, as noted by BCFAN

That's it. Our team.

Lulay gets the start. A wee bit of drama there.

Capable receiving corps.

Can we block for Harris?

Can we pass block for Lulay?

Malone is positive in his comments. We have National depth. Are they ready to play at a high level? Have they shaken off the rust and cobwebs from the previous regime? New Internationals at LT.

Lots of candidates at Safety ...

DBs look good so far ...

LB should be a strength

D Line? Unknown, but Ross is positive in his comments.

Pesky Eskies will give us a good test.

I have a feeling that we will be airlifting people all season at DT, LT and probably at bit at H-back until they find the right guy

If you can't make it out to point grey tonite ...
TSN website says it will be streamed on TSN go -- this will be either one camera or replay screen feed -- not broadcast quality ... and there have been lots of technical issues with TSN go with other preseason games. But its better than nothing
