Re: Lions open upper deck for Saskatchewan game

Over 25,000 expected for tomorrow's game according to J.J. Adams in The Province. Is that good? I don't know anymore. If I am being honest, I would have expected something closer to 30,000 for the Riders, but realize it's a slow build from where we were in pre-Doman 2021. What we don't know is how a...

Re: Lions open upper deck for Saskatchewan game

Similar to the last home game, the Lions are offering their season seat holders the opportunity to purchase up to 4 seats for $15 each. These are upper deck only (last home game was $10 and anywhere in the stadium, but still a great bargain and incentive for us to bring our friends). DH

Re: CFL Week 6

Irrespective of Montreal's performance against the Argos, which I thought was really solid going toe-to-toe with the Grey Cup Champs, I believe there are 3 tiers right now in the CFL Despite what Craig Dickenson (who always looks like he just wandered off the set of The Andy Griffith Show) opined th...

Re: Montreal vs. B.C. July 9, 2023

* Great bounce-back game from VA . Although he didn't face as much pressure as he did against the Argos, that is still a stout, athletic defensive line in Montreal that was in his face quite a lot (and 3 sacks). His decision-making under pressure was far sounder this week - 80% completion rate (glad...

Uniform Preference

On Sunday, the Leos took the field wearing their 'away' pants with their home black jerseys (likely because it was a hot sunny day and all-black uniforms would have made the players really hot, just my guess). What is your favourite look this year? The monochrome blacks (home), black jerseys with gr...

Re: Montreal vs. B.C. July 9, 2023

Yes, I see that they've corrected the attendance figure. On this site (link below) earlier, they had posted 15,565. They've now corrected that to 20,106. Still quite a drop from the first home game. https://stats.cfldb.ca/league/cfl/schedule/2023/07/09/mtl-at-bc/ I was even mildly surprised when it...

Re: CFL Week 5

Watching that game for 57 minutes, I felt sure that the Elks were going to do the Lions a favour. Then they folded like Superman on laundry day. Pinpoint passing by Harris, some impressive catches, the Elks start to tighten up and the Riders score a TD to make it 11-9. I would have blitzed on the 2-...

Re: Marketing 2023

The club has offered season ticket holders the opportunity to purchase tickets (any section) for Sunday's game vs Als for $10 each. If anyone would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please DM me. We just took advantage of the offer and are bringing two friends of ours. $20 for two tickets ...

Re: BC Place Seating Question for Lions/Als Game

Thanks, I appreciate your insight! We missed the season opener so we are going to make this one. Hey Ron. To B.C.FAN's point, you definitely want to be in the west end zone for shade. The east end zone will most certainly be sun-drenched on Sunday afternoon for at least part of the game. In case yo...

Re: Lions at Argos July 3, 2023

Lions success back east is hit and miss. I went back there in 2017 and watched them win back to back vs Toronto then Montreal. Had I looped back to Hamilton instead of carrying on to Quebec City I would have scored the trifecta as they beat the Ticats to go a purrfect 3-0 on their 3 game road trip....

Re: Lions at Argos July 3, 2023

You can't have a night that honors Damon Allen without a few Time Count Violations now, can you? :rotf: So true! Thank you for your insights, Cro. Great analysis. I would have thought Hollins's speed would make up for the loss of Lucky by taking the top off the defense. If he's not 'as fast,' he's ...

Re: Lions at Argos July 3, 2023

Great recap and questions here David. Remember those awful defeats at McGill Stadium during the Wally era? BMO seems be the new horror place for the Leos in recent years. And all those games we got hammered in the Hammer, Sammy? Even last year at McGill, we didn't play intense, mistake-free footbal...

Re: Lions at Argos July 3, 2023

* I could almost sense a pick coming when VA threw off his back foot. Almost every time it led to an INT. * Will be interesting to see what happens when Lucky is ready. Who goes out and who comes in? Speaking of Lucky, the elephant in the room appears to be his inability to stay healthy. Is this bei...

By my count Adams have thrown 8 interceptions in 4 games. Not a winning combination
The weird part is that he only threw 1 INT in 6 games last year when he was new to the team. Head scratcher. :dizzy:

Re: Lions at Argos July 3, 2023

Losing Broxton would be a serious blow. Argo pressure is relentless. That's a very talented, dynamic front 7. It highlights one of my few concerns with this football club; not enough Oline depth especially with Norman 6-gamed. If he can't go, I suppose Perkins slides over to protect Adams' blindside...
