Re: Eskimos fire head coach Richie Hall
Cortez, Kavis Reed, Scott Milanovich are being tossed around in the media as being successors to Hall.

Re: Disappointing season or masterful rebuild?
The problem with this year's offensive line: unfamiliarity with each other, partly caused by inconsistent play and injuries. To lose 40% of your offensive line to the 9 game IL, and benching others because of poor play while other teams' offensive lines are jelling and becoming one. Then there was t...

Re: Lions @ TiCats - November 6, Pre-Game Odds and Comments
Seeing as how Cornish and Lumsden went down in tonight's game, could that play a role in Bellefeuille's decision to risk some of his starters?
Sure, revenge on the Lions would be sweet, but if they were to lose Cobb and Thigpen, would the revenge be worth it?

Re: Which Hamilton Team Shows Up?
So what do you think the Lions get from Hamilton this week? A barbecue compliments of David Braley. Maybe Braley should hold the barbecue til after the game so the boys can focus at the task at hand. Speaking of whom.....is it my imagination or has Mr. Braley made it out for far fewer Lions games t...

Re: Leos may start 2011 on a looooong road trip...
The common feeling, especially at the Empire Open House, was that they were shooting for a September opening, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lions on a mid-August to mid-September road trip, with the first game back at BCP happening sometime in late September, using the last 2.5 months of the...

Re: The block by Nik Lewis on Adam Leonard ...
I saw absolutely nothing wrong with the hit. Leonard was attempting pursuit of Burris, Lewis cut him off and cleaned his clock with a shoulder right around the CFL logo on his jersey.

Re: The stretch drive!
Considering how banged up our lineup is, I can't see how locking up a playoff spot up as early as possible can't be anything but good. All you have to do is read the Fifth Quarter blog after this past game to see how the injury bug has hit the team.

Re: Game Day Thread - Lions @ Stampeders
Funny, I didn't find it a yawner at all. I was excited the whole game - matter of one's perspective I guess. When Casey lost the fumble on the 5, my cussin' and foot stompin' could probably be heard clear across town. Well, I wasn't happy when Calgary scored the garbage time TD too. I really wanted...

Re: Yonus Davis - Returner Extraordinary, not Jordanary
The surprising fact in all of this:
Harris is the one with the special teams TD
Davis should have at least 3, if he hadn't tripped over yardlines or had been bigger than the kicker.

Re: Roof questions
I believe MLB has guidelines for retractable roof open/closing after the start of the game. I believe most of the NFL stadiums are open air, so that's somewhat irrelevant, and up here, it's only Toronto and BC will have a roof option. I'd take a page from the MLB and have the referee and his crew, c...

Re: Stefan Logan
If another team picks him up, and if he plays one down, I believe that team is on the hook for his pension.
I could be wrong on the specifics, but I know that when they enter their 3rd year, they are pension eligible. That's a mighty price to pay for what is essentially a one dimensional player.

Re: Dave Dickenson for head coach.
Great idea and I would prefer him over Dunigan, Kruck and the other re-treads brought up here recently. My choice to be HC would be Scott Milanovich, if we could ever pry him out of Montreal. I thought Milanovich had been contacted about other HC jobs in the past couple of years and didn't even bot...

Re: Calgary 48 - BC 35 Post Game Stat and Comments
I think part of the problem during Passmore's injury delay is that, and I know it's a little weak, is that it happened on the Calgary sideline, southwest corner of the field, so if you didn't see him go down, you most likely didn't know what was going on. Unfortunately, people don't pay attention du...
