Re: sports & stuff- football day
Sad to miss it but especially gutted to miss this one. When I heard Khalif was going to attend, I really wanted to take advantage of the chance to meet him. Despite the recent notoriety, he seems like a complex guy (in a good way) that would be a pleasure to meet and get to know. When he does hang u...

Anyone know a "definitive" Lion's history?
Hey all, Firstly, I got to say I love Lionbackers! I am new to the forum and have really appreciated the feedback to my questions and the quality of people's posts. Great insight and well-thought posts; makes following the Lions all the better. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a written his...

Re: Game Day Traditions
I think the Lions could take a hint from the Sounders and have a live band like Sound Wave. I attended a Sounders - FCBarca friendly a few years ago and they brought a great energy and vibe to Qwest Field; the fans were definately getting into their mix of march music, chant type rhythmns, rock and ...

Re: Lions 34 - Stampeders 8, Post Game Stats and Comments
It was great to see the D get some turnovers and the special teams put in a solid effort; especially with the stuff on the failed fake punt by Calgary. Paulie Mac also looked solid on field goals and had leg to spare on the longer ones. Was concerned with the nature of some of the penalties in the f...

Re: Eskimos 27 - Lions 14, Post Game Stats and Comments
Was in attendence and I have to say the most disappointing thing about tonight's game was the crowd. What is going on when not even 30,000 will show up for a Lions-Eskies tilt? And the energy was zilch; apathetic at best. Growing up watching the Lions, you brought your "animosity" out in f...

Cheapest Parking Downtown
Hey all,
We're coming in from Victoria and wondering where the cheapest place to park downtown is located? We have usually parked at the Queen Elizabeth theatre but I am wondering if there is a better choice?
Thanks a bunch,
Dave

Re: Who wore #70 in 1997
I thought when members of the O-line came into the game as tight ends, they wore a singlet or something they could easily slip over their usual jersey.

Who wore #70 in 1997
Hey all, My first post so I hope I have the right forum. I just bought a game-worn jersey with the #70 but the name plate is blank. I think it is from 1997 as there is a tag with 97 on it next to the Starter label. #59 has also been pencilled on the inside at the neck. It's a size 46. Any guesses wh...
